Preferred candidate(s)? Last year, dallasmsl made a thread about whether or not we liked Hillary or Obama more. I'm gonna "flesh" that out some more, and add several more candidates. I think I got pretty much all of em. Also, on the choices that have multiple candidates, you can if you wish, mention who specifically you are voting for. __________________ In the MGS FC's I am Psycho Mantis! Traditionally (no pun intended) I have voted on the conservative side despite their stance on social issues that I don't agree with. Early on in the races I reviewed the candidates positions on "the issues." I found that I agreed with Senator Clinton's position entirely. She has maintained (to my knowledge) those same positions. I have not really paid attention to the debates, commercials etc., I find that in elections candiates will do or say many things to get elected. When in Detroit they say good things about the Motor Union. When in California they talk immigration. All in an attempt to get as many votes as possible. To be fair I have reviewed Barrack Obama's stances as well. He does seem to be more detailed with Civil Rights but other than that I am not impressed by his position. It seems to me that despite Senator Clinton's short political career she is still ahead of Obama. I can't help but prefer political experience to inexperience. Obama is a very motivational speaker and that's a good thing. For the last eight years we really have lacked a public president. I am however, more concerned with how my president acts behind closed doors under the pressure of congress, lobbyists and foreign interests. |

I'm not too sure. I guess you never know for sure unless you see them become president. I don't know much about politics in the US Hiliary drove the country nuts when she tried to change Health Care, maybe she can use that to make a good change? As for Obama, he's a good speaker but I don't know much about him. |
