'Myst'-ical growth. A friend recently recommended this video game/book series. It's a series about Atrus, as he rebuilds the D'ni civilization. The books are much more detailed then the games. The D'ni can link to other universes by writing a creative story about them, in their written langauge. So my idea is simple, not really a storyline, more of a plot to work with. A D'ni (Atrus or not) writes an Age (the book that links to each world) whose focus is quite obvious. Generally each world is quite "primitive", only having things such as tribes, and lower forms of agriculture. Perhaps in this world, strength is the focus of all, not really just a warrior tribe, but simply all about power, and muscle. Sound interestin? I definitely say for anyone who likes kind of a mix of science and magic (which is how the "writing" of the D'ni is described as), read the books. I haven't played the games, so about those, I don't have an opinion. __________________ In the MGS FC's I am Psycho Mantis! I love both the game series and the book series. I think this could be interesting. Hopefully someone will be able to execute this in an interesting way. Thinking about it, it must have been 8 years since I read those books. |

LOL, wow, in all my wildest dreams I never imagined Myst would get dragged across the line into muscle territory :P I loved the first game, Riven was quite good but I never did complete it, and I didn't even know there was a third until somebody told me it came out like 4 years ago. I did get the brown book but I didn't read very far into it. I know the concept and how the world works though. I also remember a parody called Pyst but I couldn't afford it back then and haven't seen it since. But hey, if anybody does it, I'd give it a read |

I've always loved point-and-click adventure games. They're getting rarer and rarer these days. Though there's still my beloved Ace Attorney series to look forward to. Yay Gumshoe! __________________ WRRYYYYYY! |

Well, before this thread fades away, Hello, my name is Gene and I am a Myst-addict. I haven't read the printed stories but I have played all the games to completion, some of them several times. But I haven't been through a D'ni book in almost a year. I have two versions of the original Myst game: 1) 1994, Broderbund, Cyan for MPC/Windows3.1 2) 1996, RedOrb, Cyan for Windows3.1 & 95 (256 colors! ) Real Myst: 1) Mattel, Cyan for Windows95/98/2000/ME (my opinion, the best implementation of the original Myst game. Full 3D navigation) Myst Masterpiece 1) 2000, UbiSoft, Cyan for Windows95/98 Three versions of Riven: 1) 1997, RedOrb, Cyan for Windows95, 5-CD set 2) 1998, RedOrb, Cyan, for Windows95/Mac, DVD 3) 2000, UbiSoft, Cyan for Windows95/98/Mac, 5-CD set Myst III Exile: 1) 2001, UbiSoft, Presto Studios, PC/MAC, DVD URU: 1) 2003 UbiSoft, Cyan for Windows98SE/ME/XP URU Path of the Shell: 1) 2004 UbiSoft, Cyan for Windows98SE/ME/XP Myst IV Revelation: 1) 2004 UbiSoft, Cyan for Win98SE/2000/ME3/XP/OSX10.2,10.3 Myst V End of Ages: 1) 2005 UbiSoft, Cyan for Windows2000/XP So what does this have to do with muscle growth? I don't know, but it would be cool to be able to jump through a book into a world populated with all the creations of Tom of Finland or The Hun or N or all the other wonderful artists & morphers who envision erotic muscle on a grand scale. |
