peter pan

I just had a story idea pop in my head. What if peter pan was kidnapped and forced to grow up and become huge and muscular.

That's a funny thought, that has the potential to be quite sexy. Though the idea of an enormous muscle man flying around in green tights sounds a little ridiculous.

Actually you could say that J.M. Barrie's Peter is "age-less" see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Pan . In one of the two appearances of Peter in the works of Barrie he is only 7 days old (The Little White Bird).

Early illustrations of the character generally appeared to be that age or perhaps a few years older. In the 1953 Disney adaptation and its 2002 sequel, Peter appears to be in late childhood, between 10 and 13 years old.
So the classic Peter is almost certainly pre-pubescent, so Peter with muscle would be sort of like Richard Sandrak, before his parents split up.

Based on Peter's personality in the book (not as Disney depicted him) a High School age Peter with muscles would be one of the most obnoxious Jock boys you are likely to meet. And would most likely be a sexual predator of some kind. But a teen Disney Peter with muscle might be interesting. Actually to be that Peter is sort of a fantasy of mine...

Like Pinocchio Disney did major rewriting of Peter to make him likable...

Hmmm lying is not really some thing to be encoraged... maybe growing on some sort of good deed...

I did happen on a story once where a guy's penis grew with each lie... after 18 inches he figured he had better stop lying...

Studies have show that people that lie well are more likely to be leaders than people that can't lie...

I'm way too honest for my own good...

It can be argued, I think, that adult guys who are into muscle are already showing some Peter Pan characteristics. The fascination with 'make a muscle' is common among little boys, but unusual among adults. Maybe we're all a bunch of little boys who, in this respect at least, never grew up.

A muscle growth story featuring Peter Pan... Sounds like a kids' story to me! Hehe... I'm just concerned that it's just a very small number of us on this forum that would truly care to read a story like that. I've written and posted other super-kids' stories before, and they have been deleted and/or they have received very little feedback on the forum. I would love write a Peter Pan story, but I doubt I'd post it here, considering past experience and the level of feedback I've received from the members. I would post it on writing.com, on my own web site or on CYOC.

Disney's Peter Pan has always been one of my favorite movies. I loved this character a lot, and he is slightly muscular already (his legs). A hulking Peter Pan who flies around would be a lot of fun for sure. It might be presented as a magical choice (by a wizard?): Either he grows up, or he hulks out. Something to think about...

I remember the last episode of the Peter Pan cartoon from the 90s. It was called Ages of Pan and revolved around Hook making fun of Peter because he's been a boy and a man and Peter's only been a little boy and he says something like Peter was afraid of being a man. So Peter reacts angrily by drawing lines on his cheeks and then outgrowing his clothes and getting amnesia. All of Neverland starts to die and then he progresses from youth to man to old man. Hook eventually helps to get him to wish himself young again and then they all go back to normal at the end.

I like the idea of him just stopping at hunky muscle guy. How about Peter wishing to be a grown up after all the pirates are making out and armwrestling etc? He wants to be with them and do manly stuff secretly so he finds a way to become like them. And then the other Lost Boys want to follow him in his stead once they see how cool it can be to grow up.

This is an intriguing idea, but the approach has to be just right. Bear with me while I suggest something. While surfing the net, I came across a drawing by the gay artist, Harry Bush. It was entitled something like "Tarzan Finds Boy" or "Tarzan Discovers Boy". In it Boy is standing in the foreground while the alpha male Tarzan watches. Only Boy is not a boy but a young man with the physique of a college gymnast or young bodybuilder in his late teens or early twenties. The drawing was very provocative as both males wore only the briefest of loincloths and displayed a maximum amount of muscle. Borrowing from this idea, why not make Peter Pan the young musclestud to the ripped, rock hard Capt. Hook? It could be caused by something on the island because the same thing is happening to The Lost Boys, the Pirate Crew and the Indians. Before long Neverland would be crawling with nothing but hardbodies. Maybe someone discovered Puberty Dust. Just one shot and out you grow! Hey! It beats blaming it on Global Warming.

IMHO Sex beyond the mildest age appropriate preteen self and mutual exploration would totally destroy the concept I have of Peter Pan... Innocence is at the core of Peter Pan... to paraphrase Peter... "...to die? ... Now that would be a real adventure!!!"

Peter is leader of the Lost Boys but not as an alpha male; Peter is a "first among equals" by mutual consent and because he's the "oldest" (?Peter and the other lost boys don't age)... They are a Utopian community rather like the Smurfs...

There is a rather interesting discussion of Smurfs in the movie "Donnie Darko". Donnie and a couple of his buddies while getting drunk (or maybe stoned) while shooting pellet guns and the virtues of Catholic Schools and Smufette...

The thing is Peter and the Lost Boys aren't human they have no real emotions if they did then Never Never Land would look like "Lord of th Flies"... The same for the Smurf Village... and Brainy would quickly meet the same fate as Piggy...

Sorry for the digression...

Ender

Write a Peter Pan story? Go for it!

I've actually been doing some research on Peter Pan and J.M. Barrie on wikipedia and I *almost* got started on this story when other things got in the way. You see, I'm on the VERGE of publishing a science fiction/fantasy book myself, and I have my hands full with that project at the moment. I registered my book with the publisher last night and I'm probably between 6 to 8 weeks away from getting published! Whoohoo!

If you feel like you can crank out a Peter Pan story, then, by all means, go for it! Right now, I'm pressed for time, although "pockets" of free time come up when I'm waiting for the editor or the printer, but I don't know when that is and how long that will last, and I may be called back to work on my book at any time during the next couple of weeks until the thing is done.

Again, don't wait for someone else to write it. Be the first one. You may inspire someone else to write another version of it as well.

Cool! I'll Def Take a crack at it, I'm Just wondering how to start it though, and the ages is wayyy wrong.. I was thinking maybe Peter goes back to the real world for a while and them comes back and he's gone through puberty a little. Or I could just bump the ages anyways to like 15-18 and not exactly fallow the story ages. But I've got a basic Idea of what I want to see happen in the story, and I'm actually really excited, but if anyone has any ideas def throw them my way
