Yeah, apparently the collegehumor.com crowd was in no small way responsible for that one. They spotted the (completely real-life) product, liked what they hated about what they saw, and targeted their legion of conformist hipster twentysomethings on it as the go-to Ironic Awesomeness of the moment.

P.S> Collegehumor.com does produce a lot of... well, a LOT of content, period, some non-trivial percentage of which is actually extremely funny. So I'm not in any way disparaging the site itself. And obviously I, myself, am part of that audience I'm putting down...
