Short or Tall

Okay, so I've been thinking... not a good thing I know, but unfortunately I cannot reverse the fact of it. I've been thinking about length, in terms of body not of member.

Let me begin with a little "story". Today I was in our local grocery store, and since this store is located just below a gym, you tend to get a few gems in there. And boy was I not dissapointed this afternoon. I'm 1.94m tall and a guy in a brown volcom T (which looked 4 sizes to small for his gifted frame) came past me, pushing a trolley (which looked like a childs plaything in his paws.) Anyway, I'm talking this guy must be 2m easy, and he is built like John Cena, except he is shredded and veiny (see the Jared Padelecki flexing thread - right near the end of the vid, when Padelecki flexes... this guys arms were striated and shaped like that, but he wasnt even trying) Now of course I nearly fainted. And we "accidentally" ran into each other a couple of times in the aisles.

I was floating on cloud 9 for the most of the day, and gods teeth were the fantasy "accidental" meetings (that inveriably lead to some kind of,ummmm, lewd conduct) fluttering through my brain like a flock of directionally challenged doves. I'm talking OhJesusareyoureallySupermanwhodathunkitbutIjustspu nkedit hot.

Yet a few hourse before, I'd seen this perfectly hot, muscled young guy, standing in a qeue (and he saw me chekin him out - oh he had a superman T on btw) and I reacted the same way, quick sideway clances, shy eye contact yet with enough body language behind it all to convey a definite sense of appreciation mixed with a tinge of Oh *boy* are you in for a treat if you ever consent. And the reply in those eyes were: Yeah little man, you may be taller, but I know who'll be looking up in awe if we'd been in a more private place. (Well okay, maybe it was more something like Oh dude, wtf... are you perving on me? oh shit this is sooooo gay, gotta get into the dressing stall. But screw that, never let a trivial thing like a fact f*ck up your story!)

I'm just kidding btw, I noticed that both of these guys handled the attention quite well... the shorter guy actually shifted his shoulders forward and expanded his chest slightly, which of course made him look like a typical immovable alpha male. The other guy (taller) wasn't aware of my attentions the first time around but by round three (I think I was expressely interested in Ramen noodles at that point) he was physically strutting his stuff and loving it. Also his intentions seemed more open to cultivation.

Ahhhh well. Ofcourse it speaks chapters of how my country has changed RE how guys handle other guys with a penchant for muscleworship checking them out. But this isnt the whole point of the thread.

The point of this thread (ahhhhh finally we get to the point) is a question (slash statement).

Who do you prefer, short muscled guys or taller muscled guys?

I don't have much of a preference issue, like I told my (very cute, potential gorgeous muscle god) str8 flatmate: "a big guy is nice I can lay my head on his chest if we're dancing or such."

Very nice, BUT.

Short muscle guys, tend to be very butch and very dominating... which is of course a massive plus in my book.

Do you guys think I'm within my rights to say so, if not, what have your experiences been?

I prefer muscled guys.

I don't care if they're 5 ft. tall or 7 ft. tall.

If they're covered with sexy fur, all the better; if not, no biggie deal.

And it doesn't matter if they're 17 or 70.

I prefer tall muscled guys definitely!!! And I would like to be 5 feet tall and weight about 100 lbs. Unfortunately I'm much, much biger.

Tall guys... wide, tall guys are beyond impressive.

But short guys... Short guys get big FAST and they get wi~de. And, well, as a shorter guy myself, I gotta rep 'em. x3

I'd love to be a HUGE tall guy myself, but it's not gonna happen. I'm more comfortable around short guys, and thinking about how freaking huge and wide and muscular they can get, and how I could look like that one day... Yeah, short guys all the way. There're even some nice rolemodels here on the forums.

I generally prefer short guys...but when more muscle is involved, I find I don't care so much about height

I'm with apreejay. Muscles on men is what turns me on, doesn't matter their height, age or hairyness.

I don't really have a preference.....muscle is GREAT! For me, I choose someone that has a great personality to go along with the physique.

And also, if you have a killer personality I wouldn't care if you have muscles or not.

For me... I don't know. I think i'd rather... something like 6 foot or 180 cm, which is close to my own size (185).

Very short guys may (And i don't want to offend anyone, so don't take it that way) want to compensate their height being dominant when having muscle (maybe because they were picked on by being short?) and very tall guys with muscle may do the same cause think that having their size means they can just be the alfa.

This is all a supposition, I'm not implying anything.

Short guys don't need to eat that much to gain size which is why I like them hehe (and envy them somehow ). But muscles in long limbed guys (AKA tall guys) look better shaped to me. This is my oppinion, nothing else.

Well, I hope it's okay for a non-bodybuilder to weigh in on this one. I am a short guy, and I can tell you it is all about personality in relation to their height.

I have met tall guys who I didn't think were sexy at all because they tried to use their size to intimidate people. I'm 5'4, so a tall man is intimidating enough to me without him trying to be.

I have met short guys who might have been attractive in the face but they let their height give them such a Napoleon complex and issues of inferiority that I didn't want them. Some short guys can be assholes because they have to be pit bulls in order to get any respect.

As as far as my own preference, I usually end up with tall men. Not necessarily because I don't want a guy shorter than me, but because unless I go to Liliput, I'm unlikely to find a guy shorter than me. I will express a complete weakness for guys about 5'10-6'0 range and weighing somewhere between 250 and 300. The thicker a guy is, the happier I am.

Depends how the muscle's packed on.

Most of the time I prefer at least slightly above-average height, if not a head above the rest, but 2 of my favorite bodybuilders are Lee Priest and Alexey Lesukov, both about 5'4".

Point being, I find quality and aesthetics the issue regardless of height. Both can pack it on beautifully and both can make it distasteful.

My personal favorite is usually when the bulk a shorter tank like Priest/Lesukov gets stretched across the frame of a tall guy, giving the build a sleek and athletic look while still retaining the shock-inducing mass and strength.

Doesn't matter, although below 5 ft 6 I'd prefer broad shoulders (to me, very short guys seem to be too small-shouldered for their heads unless they've got some extra shoulder breadth).

As long as the tall guy isn't used to getting his way cause he's tall and the short guy doesn't have a Napoleon complex.

I've seen too many gorgeous short guys not to fantasize about them often. I went to college with a handsome guy who was 5 ft 2 and had nice broad shoulders, and a nice defined body (I tried to get him to come lift with me, but no dice).

he's actually an example of what I was saying about shoulder width- although these pictures don't really show it, his shoulders aren't wide (at least in the few other pics I've seen of him). (Now, I'm not saying I'd kick him out of bed, trust me on that...)

Short guys with muscle and some padding look pretty imposing, I think because it's something you don't expect to see. For me, being short myself at 5'5", a short muscled guy is a turn on.
