There are some hints and basic techniques to be found in this thread

Not specifically about PaintshopPro7 but PaintshopPro8 was discussed,

I use Photoshop mostly but did peek at the PaintshopPro8 demo and it seems to be a full function tool. I had no problem using multiple layers and some deforming tools and color matching and blending tools to get some decent morphs quickly.

I can't give tool specific answers and my demo copy of PaintshopPro8 has expired so I can't run that again unless someone can tell me how to disable the "thou shalt not reinstall this program" flag, short of reinstalling all my OS and software tools again (a three day undesirable process).

I've done all of my morphs using exactly Paint Shop Pro 7. I've found that it's quite simple to use once you get the knack of it.

The tools I mainly use are (probably astonishingly), Resize and Rotate. I barely, if ever, use any of the Deformation tools it provides. I also use Darken (for shadows) and Soften. And, of course, the Eraser Tool is a must.
