Remember the old 1941 classic fantasy film Here Come Mr Jordan...and Warren Beattys 1978 remake Heaven Can Wait...?

Well, hows about a bodybuilder in exchange for the Boxer/American Footballer role.?

Due to a Heavenly clerical error a bodybuilder dies prematurely in a car accident and his body cremated before the divine clerk responsible is able to put him back in his body. Cue the angelic Mr Jordan helping find the BB'er a new body which turns out to be a wealthy but arrogant Fitness channel/health food magnate just prior to his 'husband' and his agent trying to kill him. Cue the change of heart and the aspiring to be back in competitive physique,falling in love with an innocent gym trainer. Magnate is murdered then BB'er finally finds a rival [pro] BB'er who was about to die to live out his life and finding his love interest again,[though not necessarily having ALL his memories erased like the films..?]


...Then again,...i don't know where the muscle growth would fit in...bad idea..?

not sure about the Heaven Can Wait film but you could pretty much adapt any of the Karate Kid, Lizzy McGuire, Never say die, flicks basically anything where a character has to train to become a superstar... (although It would be interesting to see if something like the Sixth Sense - I can see dead people, translates somehow)... and put bodybuilding as the starring role instead of whatever else they are training for...

Of couse you know most of them follow the good old formula, boy meets girl, or make some kinda love triangle, square or some other geometric shape... but hey... depends on what kind of dimension you want to go into with your storytelling I guess...

Oops now I feel like I kinda cheapened the whole thread... sorry...

With the Heaven Can Wait idea you could have the bber be put into the body of a skinny, geeky multi-bazillionaire who is about to be murdered by his wife.

BBer takes possession of the guy and all of the sudden he is an alpha male on a testosterone kick, training and growing like nobody's business and shagging the shy, gentle and extremely muscular male personal trainer/butler/executive secretary.

He thwarts and divorces wife and becomes a Mr Olympia contender.

Drop the part about being transferred to yet another body. it's a nice ending but this movie is more about the muscle than the bittersweet beginnings of romance.
