I wake up at 5.30am to take a whiz. Check my Android phone for the next chapter of Big New World. I find the next chapter of Big New World. I read it intently, my emotions a mixture of trepidation and delight all rolled into one. My heart quickens; I'm worried about Ryan not forgiving Alex. But my fears are quickly allayed and I'm filled with a fuzzy kind of warmth, the kind I haven't felt in a long time. I'm going back to bed now, my eyes moist. The fuzzy feeling is still there.

And Alex and Ryan, having delicious make-up sex in my mind, will ensure that I don't get back to sleep right away.

Umlerian, you are now my favourite writer on here by a mile. Alex has become such a dominant image in my libido's mind's eye, and I never want him to leave or be usurped from his rightful place.

I know that all stories have to have an ending, but PLEEEEESE don't end this anytime soon. It has very little muscle-growth or sex, but you know what? I DON'T care. Somehow it still gets me excited and keeps me interested. Of course, I don't always read these stories just to get off. I love to get absorbed in a great story, too. Your work ticks all my boxes.

I agree with this post whole heartedly. This story is amazing. I always check for its updates as well. I hope you continue this one for a long time. You can even eventually pass the title onto Courtney. But I would love 2 more chapters of Alex's life. You sure left a huge opening for him. Because If I remember correctly you posted he gets into pro football in the first story I believe. I would love to see Alex go through college into his adult life as a pro. Then maybe pass it to Courtney and see if you wanna keep going from there? That would be wonderful.

That's all well and good, Silvershadow, but there are SO MANY stories here that involve super-muscled high-schoolers going into football and proving how superior they are on the playing field. That has been done to death, and I'm not just saying this because I'm not American and don't follow football (not into sports of any kind). But what makes Alex's character so special is how "normal" he is, despite his incredible size and muscularity. He's just trying to fit in, but circumstances happening in and around him don't seem to want him to do that.

It's great to see him solving problems with his mind, rather than his muscles. I love the way he had to get "Weight-training for Dummies" to help Court initiate his workouts, despite he is the most muscular human that ever lived. I know the character, now, as well as the rest of us. And I can honestly say that if umlerian49 were to mould Alex into a super-powered football jock, I think he would lose the essence of the character.

Alex has nothing to prove to himself, the Coach, or anyone else in terms of strength and prowess. I know that he has little money (tell me about it), and he could make a fortune on the pro-football circuit, but I really don't see umlerian49 taking him along this path, despite what he said in the past. I really see Alex as a humanitarian, a scientist (with Ryan) eventually. That's where I think his destiny lies, not making millions of dollars scoring touchdowns and endorsing the latest line of jockstraps. That's all been done so many times before, and I know so many people appreciate that kind of thing, but I think it's gotten a little stale.

Just saying my bit, is all.

Umlerian 49 has now been added to my list of all-time favorite mg authors. Big New World is a great saga in the making!!! Alex is such a down-to-earth "normal" kid with the typical teenage emotions - and he cries!!! Thanks for the realism! I could just have imagined Ryan saying something like "You big sweet lug!" after receiving the flowers and candy.

I know I love that to what you didn't understand is that I just wish to see his life continued and this wonderful author here hinted that they may write about his future as he progresses into adulthood. I love how he solves issues with his mind to. I don't want him to change as a character only evolve into whatever hes going to be like in the end. My favorite part so far was how he got the jocks to behave by showing he could easily steal the scholarships instead of losing his temper again.

Alex and Ryan are a couple again, cool. I was concerned Alex might need to have Brie explain how she ambushed Alex and had his pants off and 'Mr. Happy' on autopilot before Alex understood what was happening. I still worry that Jason might try to frame Alex for raping Brie, even though if there was a rape it was Alex that was raped by Brie.

Alex deciding not to assume Mr. Rene was gay was good choice, Aspies as a rule don't read people well. That's part how Alex got in trouble with Brie in the first place.

I wonder if Alex's dream about a giant coming to do him harm is a premonition of some thing to come and who is the 'dark and enormous" shape?

Courtney and the grow juice are going to be be a major plot driver very soon. But how? Will Courtney decide he wants to be huge like Alex, I hope not. If he talked to Alex he would tell him what a problem being huge is. Or start selling the grow juice like Charles Spooner in Jaypat's Second Puberty and Caf?' Blue. I want to believe Court isn't that materialistic, He might just hand out copies of the formula. I doubt that Bob will be pleased with Courtney having the grow juice or Ryan using it to buff up for Alex (so he won't crush Ryan when they make out ).

But it's a good bet that Jason (and possibly some of his 'Neanderthal sycophants') will get access to the grow juice and try to get as big as Alex. And we'll have a Clash of the Titans under The Wide Prairie Sky of the Big New World. ( Sorry but the string of titles was too good to resist... I couldn't quite make Titanification work.)

What ever happens I think that when Jason makes what will be his last power play against Alex and company, he's going to get exactly what he wants but that will cause him to lose every thing he has and cared about.

In the vine of "it takes one to know one" Alex is still an Aspie... It's part of who you are like having blue eyes or blond hair. Alex is dealing with it better mainly in my opinion because he has more confidence than before he grew and he knows there isn't much that can physically hurt him anymore. When he screws up it's related to not reading people correctly which is very Aspie.

One thing that has been missing from Alex all along, as an Aspie, is a "special interest." Like trains or trains schedules, shells, something... Some of mine were dinosaurs, space, space flight, and computers (I got into computers in high school in the late 1960's, long before PCs, and I'm still into them and I make a living from it) Even though Alex could be a super jock, I think a lot of the readers want him to be more than a jock or a farm hand. Giving Alec an 'interest' might give him a direction for the future.

Alex knows that he could have the world on a plate if he went that route, but he's not interested in having things handed to him. He's had the satisfaction of overcoming a lot of problems in his young life, and he likes the feeling. He still isn't sure what he wants to do with his life.
