BUILT by TallSteve

At the artist's request, I'm starting a new thread for his artwork under the Title BUILT by TallSteve. You may access the old thread by clicking HERE.

TallSteve sent me more images this afternoon. I've learned quite a bit about both iPhoto and Flickr since I started posting these images, and it seems I may not have been using the tools in the best way. From now on, all new images will be added to the original BUILT by TallSteve photo set at my Flickr account HERE.

It seems that in the BUILT by TallSteve photo set, the oldest images are at the top or front, and the newest images are at the bottom or the back. As such, the newest image is the last in the set, and the oldest image is the first. While figuring that out, I inadvertently deleted a few of the images from the original photo set, and I will endeavor to figure out which ones, and re-add them soon. When viewing my main photo steam, not looking at any particular photo set, the first image is the recent image upload, but that shows all photo sets.

There were 36 new images posted this afternoon. As such, those are now the last 36 images in the set. I'll imbed a few of below as a sample.

I know he reads the messages here at musclegrowth.org, so I believe you just made a request. He's taken a couple of requests from me, including the Matt Mendenhall posing in the field at the bottom of this thread. We'll see if he has any in his past work to share, or if he'll be able to perhaps create a new one for us.

He has not explained that. I thought it might be that he became frustrated in the past when photobucket kept deleting his images. He saw me repost some of his old images, contacted me directly, and then started sending me new images to post. I believe most of the images he's been sending me are historical from his perspective, and I'm not sure how much new work he's doing. I can tell you TallSteve is 6' 6" tall, and lives in the US.

Maybe TallSteve will explain it to us when he gets some time.

P.S. OMFG!!!....I hardly ever use that expression, but it's the only way to describe my reaction to the newly posted TallSteve morphs. His images are the perfect combination of model-handsome young men and muscle which is exaggerated, but not too much or too little.

I especially like the duo morphs....especially the one of Jiri Borkovec and "friend" (who I think is Petr Prielozny in the original pic)....which, by the way, is mislabelled as "Marcel and BF."

NOLAmitch, do you know if there is a way to "batch download" the images from Flickr? (as opposed to one at a time, which takes awhile because I want to save every single work by TallSteve!).

I thought it was Jiri, but then someone suggested it was Marcel, and I changed it because I wasn't sure. It's been a long time since I'd seen an image of either young man.

As for batch download, I'm not aware of that. I do now have everything in iPhoto, and I suppose I could export that album, and upload a zip file to rapid share. It would only include images that I have on file today, and I would not be inclined to update it each time he sends new images. Let me see how big that would be, and I'll get back to you later.

A couple of thoughts first. Due to the way I have collected TallSteve images over time, and because the newer files he sends me are in a format that must be converted before I post them, most of his images I serve up at Flickr do not have original file names. Same is going to be true for future files because the easiest way I have to convert his work and upload them to Flickr ends up changing the file names. If I did it a different way that maintained the original file name, the process would be too time consuming and labor intensive, at least with the tools I have.

As such, I have exported all of TallSteve's images and renamed them all as "BUILT by TallSteve - xxx.jpg" where xxx is a sequential number; in this case, 001 is the oldest image in my database, and 257 is the newest. There may be duplicates, and there may be a few images by other artists which I filed incorrectly. There's the background, so if you want the complete works "BUILT by TallSteve" just click HERE (from RapidShare.com). It's a ZIP file containing 257 images and is about 100MB. Remember that TallSteve's rule for sharing his work is to always give him credit.

TallSteve has heard your request. Interestingly, because of your request I learned that TallSteve mixes and matches more than just heads and bodies; he mixes up arms and legs and whatever else gives him the final result he desires. He told me that he will use some men of color for future model faces. He's hoping this summer will provide more free time to produce his art.

Check out the new BUILT by TallSteve blog HERE. The reason for creating the blog is because TallSteve wants Google and Yahoo to show his images when people search for BUILT by TallSteve; after a little research it seemed like a blog was the best way to make that happen. I plan to occasionally post people's favorite BUILT by TallSteve images on the blog, so vote for your favorite images by making them your favorites at Flickr. You have to be a free Flickr member to mark favorites, but if you have a Yahoo account, you can use that to log into Flickr.

I did a lot of clean-up on the BUILT by TallSteve photo set yesterday, and I've deleted some duplicates, added a few missing images, and deleted some images that TallSteve confirmed were not his work. Most of the missing added images were added between BUILT by TallSteve - 105 and 131. If anyone notices any dupes or works of other artists in the photo set, please leave a comment on the individual photo and I'll see it in the daily Flickr stats. Today's images are BUILT by TallSteve - 322 thru 328. The Complete BUILT by TallSteve Flickr photo set is HERE.

That "duo by the pool" is just about the hottest morph I have ever seen........hope to see more duos by TS.

I have always preferred comparison images because I like that show of dominance. I also like to imagine the smaller guy outsizing the big man. It's just a thing I think is hard wired into me.
