[color=#c6cdf3]An Idea just came to me in a dream. Unfortunately, it was one of those dreams where you keep dreaming you are awake- confusing as hell- but I got this plot out of it.[/color]



[color=#c6cdf3]Basically there are two partners who work at the same company. They're doing some (admittedly ill-advised) on-the-job Internet wandering when they see this site that says, "Need Strength?" and advertises a ring that will "give you the strength you need to get things done." Now each of them thinks they need (metaphorical) strength because neither of them has the nerve to propose to the other (which they both want to do.) Deciding to get the ring (in slightly different styles) for their partner, they send an order. When the rings arrive one of them goes down on one knee and proposes- the other sheepishly admits he was going to do the same, so they decide to simply put the rings on each other's fingers. They then get into bed, naked, preparatory to having sex. They?re just sitting there quietly feeling the warmth of each other's bodies and the joy that soon they'll be forming a meaningful partnership when they start growing.[/color]

Hey Ogun,

I really like this idea; it is slightly corny and - a frequent combination - deeply romantic (plus rather sexy, of course). If I find enough time to write it, I will probably give it a try.

Actually, I'd rather you not write a story based on the idea, because I plan to write one myself. The main reason I put this up was to get feedback on the idea, not to offer it to others.

No big deal- I guess I'll be a bit clearer next time. Honestly though, when someone tells me a story idea in conversation I normally assume they're trying to bounce it off me- most writers I know would rather handle their own themes. If i'm looking for help in the creation or implementation of an idea I'll usually tell the person that or ask for help. So keep in mind that when I post a story idea here, I'm probably trying to use you guys as a sounding board.

Also, I feel this is the first really good MGS idea I've come up with so it's imperative that it be in my capable hands- I wouldn't trust anyone else with it.
