Fred Phelps is dead

He lived 84 years too long.

I won't mourn him, since he and his ilk have caused hardship to many people, whatever their sexual orientation. However, out of respect for his family, I will not speak ill of him. Granted, it's much more than he would do for me, but that's how I was raised.

His family was right there with him parroting his hatred.

And how appropriate that he died on the International Day of Happiness.

Ding dong, the wicked witch is dead...

Mdlftr will become famous soon enough
The best thing to say about Fred Phelps...

...is nothing at all.

The second best thing to say is that his public displays, however hurtful and venomous, motivated the Supreme Court to reiterate the importance of free speech.

I know the community is glad he is dead, but it changes absolutely nothing because he hasn't controlled Westboro for years it seems.

His son admitted that his father went senile years ago so he took over and kept the ridiculous protests going. So despite the fact that Fred is dead, nothing will change.
