Coma Growth??? A sporty young guy is involved in a dramatic event, something that leaves him in hospital, unconscious... Oddly his body is producing a hormone or some kind of chemical that blocks natural muscle-growth inhibitors, the doctors surmise the chemical his body produced it to help him during the crisis and simply hasn't stopped like they would have expected... Years later he awakes to a whole new body... and instant celebrity... Of course some writers would be able to weave the mystery of who put him in the coma in the first place... And yes this does sound quite impractical but after all it is fiction, right .... |

Coma Crescendo for Muscle Mania Possible Title: I will add more to this soon with an idea I've been working with and teasing out for over a year. Thanks for your stimulus. __________________ HUNGRYHUNK HUNGRYHUNK[/FONT]Krushdahunks! |

Thought about something like this myself. Given the coma/"sleeping" aspect and year difference, "Ripped Van Winkle" might be a fun title. |

Seen something like that before A similar idea has been used already: Charlemagne, from Defiant Comics. There's no growth sequence -- a kid goes into a coma, and the day he wakes up he's suddenly muscular. (There's a synopsis of the first issue with a couple of tiny images of front covers at http://www.shooterswork.com/defiant/charlemagne.htm.) And War Dancer, also from Defiant, had a villain who used drugs to make himself bigger. And then there was Good Guys, which had a super-strong hispanic jock-type as a villain. (No growth, and he ended up being taken out by a super-powered kick to the groin.) |

Coma Growth Began with Nitro man's explosive personality. This explosion stunned him into his unconscious condition and simultaneously transformed his basic genetic makeup with three altered additional chromosomes, affecting strength, muscular size and definition and bodily hair distribution.
