new forum look I have to say that I'm diggin the new forum look. It really is inline with the masculine nature of this place. my only complaint is that new topics are only a hair lighter than old topics, so it's sort of difficult to tell which is which. otherwise, great decision on the layout. |
| |||
x2 to that. All the black is very strong and masculine. And that's what we're about, isn't it? |
| |||
X3, diggin' it too! |
| |||
X4, Great new look. |
| |||
X5, like the icon revisions, everything is much clearer now |
| |||
X6, amazingness! wish it were clearer to tell which ones were updated, but other than that, AWESUM! |
| |||
x7: I have to say, It's much easier on the eyes. Makes it so much easier to read, though I don't have a problem telling the difference between new and old posts. __________________ I take great pride in knowing so much in a wide variety of nothing. |

x8, but only because I want the chance to thank FleX again for this wonderful update; only a few days short of this forum turning 5 years old. __________________ In the MGS FC's I am Psycho Mantis! Personally, I liked the red the best, but this is still fine. |
| |||
Whoa, just got back on after a short break! Sweet design, me likey |
| |||
Incidentally, the problems I was having with keeping logged in seem to have been fixed, or cleared themselves, not sure which. If it was a specific change to the code, thanks, it worked beautifully |

Long time lurker/reader and first time poster. I have to agree with everything the forum looks great! and I love the new log-in preferences, not having to sign in all the time. |
| |||
Wow, your first post after 3.5 years. Congradulations. We all invite you and anyone else to feel at home to take part here. |
| |||
Always excited when things get updated and of course get better. |

I love the new look. Great Job!!! Easier to read and it seems to be working great. Thanks!! __________________ Jeff aka Braun1 |

I got a new avatar from Choco a day or two after the change, and tried to upload it. After failing several times, I told FleX this, and he said.....well...actually I don't remember what he said. The point is, don't worry about it. __________________ In the MGS FC's I am Psycho Mantis! "Put your controller on the floor...Put it down as flat as you can...That's good. Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! One thing that you may not have noticed tho ... NO MORE SPAM BOTS!! Flex was awesome at getting a patch that so far, has appeared to put those stupid things to a screeching halt. *knock on wood* |

Nice new look and black is nice... Side question... I noticed that my log in (cookie) isn't saved even if I have ticked "remember me" option. Perhaps the cookie is malfunction? Can you please look into that? Secondly, after logged in, it doesn't do the normal redirection to forum front page, instead, it stucked at the "Login failed notice with something like - you've tried 1 of 5 times to login... blah blah blah" message. |

Your username and password as cAse senSitive, so be sure to type it in exactly as it was when you registered. (Also try clearing your browser cache & cookies as mentioned above). |
| |||
well it is exactly as i registered. the login was successful but it showed that "failed login" page, when it should have redirected back to the forum front. |

The new forum looks great! Don't get me wrong. However, I do have one complaint. After a few days, I began to find the forum extremely difficult to navigate. Whenever I clicked a link, I would get a completely blank page, or I would receive the "The server is too busy at the moment. Please try again later."-error message. I would have to press the refresh button on my browser several times, before I could finally get the page to display. This is very annoying. I wonder if there was some setting that was changed because this wasn't happening at first, when the forum was upgraded and the old forum never had this problem. Again, this started happening this past week. In fact, I haven't been able to post any more chapters to my story at all. Not only that, but I've had to type this post in Notepad, because my first attempt at posting it on the forum failed and I've had to type it in all over again. Please look into the server problem. Hopefully it's a matter of changing a setting. Thanks! -Rex __________________ www.musclebook.org musclebook.org Forum Admin |

I think I found what the problem to my situation be... the cookie is saved for domain "www.musclegrowth.org" but I usually get to the site using "musclegrowth.org". After logging in, the cookie saved for "www.musclegrowth.org" but gets redirected to "musclegrowth.org" which showed my session not logged in. Is it possible to rewrite the cookie session to recognise the domain with or without "www." part? |
| |||
I made some adjustments to the cookie domain. Can you clear out your browser cookies and try this again to see if it works? |
| |||
Hi Rex... I'll be looking into this issue. Sorry to hear about all of the problems you've been experiencing. |
| |||
Thanks for checking into the cookie issue. I see a new cookie for musclegrowth.org after I cleared them and then checked "remember me" when I logged in. But it still doesn't remember me. |
| |||
fwiw i have no problem connecting with http://musclegrowth.org/forum |

Did you first enter the site through www.musclegrowth.org or just musclegrowth.org when you initially logged in? Also, what browser + browser version are you using and on what computer platform? And one last question who is your internet service provider? There are a few people who are reporting this problem and I want to be able to figure out what the common factors are that could be related to the cookie issue. I haven't been able to replicate the problem on my end. (Anybody else having this exact problem, please let me know this info as well). |

I entered through www.musclegrowth.org (I'll try it the other way to see what happens). Browser is IE version 7.0.5730.11. ISP is AT&T (formerly SBC, formerly Pac Bell) DSL. Thanks! |
| |||
Same result if I just go through musclegrowth.org. |
| |||
Still had the same problem since you've made the tweak to the cookie... My case, Firefox 2.0.0.12. |
| |||
I had to login again tonight, after having gone four or five days without reading the site. This leads me to think there might be a default timeout set on the cookies. |
