Marco_ukmus Does anyone know what happened to Marco_ukmus? He was a regular poster on here before he decided to dedicate himself more to bodybuilding as an end in itself. Is anyone current on his present goals, locations, stats? -BigLittleTim |

Hi Tim, I've not seen or heard of him since in the last 2 years or so. I met him in person and we had a workout at my gym. I think he was enjoying the forum but (my opinion) may have been feeling like he was over exposing himself to forums such as this. He was very driven and almost maniacal in terms of his lifting regime - I still remember matching him with insane (9 plates each side on leg press) amounts and then being barely able to move the next day. Have edited this post on advice of the moderators. I've heard privately from others in contact with MarcoUKMuscle that he's doing fine and living in London. That's probably all I should say. If he is on any other forums then perhaps others may find him again. Last edited by UKBeefy; March 7th, 2008 at 12:58 PM. |

UKBeefy, while I definitely appreciate the update on Marco_UKmus (I'd been curious myself what became of him over the last 2 years), I really don't feel that it's appropriate to divulge so much personal, intimate information about someone else in such a public forum. Especially considering quite a few of the details you shared weren't topics of discussion here on the site, they were things Marco shared with you, personally, in a real-life setting. If Marco chooses to participate in the discussion here and publicly discuss these issues in his life, that's his call -- it's not your place to make that decision for him. I hope you'll reconsider your post and perhaps arrange to edit/remove some of the inappropriate personal items it divulges. |

While I agree with you in principal, nypup2train, It is interesting to hear some of the backstory! Marcoukmus was a fascinating read, very brave at putting himself out there and really going all out. He probably took steps (taking the lifting to an intensity) that many might think that they want to emulate, but did not do. He made the effort, whatever else you can say I'm not judging him. I hope he is well and happy wherever he is! Mdlftr |

In all fairness and respect to the forums' ACTUAL moderators, if this is referring to my comments, then I feel compelled to point out that I'm *NOT* a moderator here, nor am I in any way involved w/ the site's dedicated and skillful group of "staffers". My reactions and suggestions were purely my own opinions, to be taken or left depending on whether they seemed sensible/compelling. (Of course, if you also discussed this with the site mods, then never mind. Just want to make sure I haven't accidentally misrepresented myself by presuming to tell others what to do. That's not moderator status, that's just me being a self-important busybody!) |
