Kudos to the members of this site and fleXodous I don't usually join a lot web groups. I come here and I do a few 3D graphics oriented groups. In the last couple of weeks though, I've been poking around the web a lot. I've been looking in on various web discussion boards about various things. So many sites I've visited seem populated by cavemen who find it difficult to grunt more than 3 words at a time, for whom sentences are prison terminology, and the discussions seem about as deep as a Florida river. OK, I admit that here at The Evolution Forum we're not solving the worlds great problems. However, this site seems to attract ideas and conversation that are interesting, humorus, generally on track, not overly silly, generally polite, non-vulgar, non-shorthand and fun. Thanks guys, and Thanks fleXodous for hosting the site. -- LG -- |

I hate to be a parasitic band-wagon'r, but I simply must agree with you, Oh Fair Leather Gryphon! I was reading one of the threads on this site today, and I cracked up and said to myself "Aw, I love these guys..." and then I realized that I never expected to find myself saying that about a webgroup dedicated to musclegrowth and stuff such as that. I'm not sure if it's because the majority of people on this site are gay or bi and stereotypically accordingly sophisticated and articulate or whether this vein of sexual fancy requires strong capacities for higher level thought and reasoning or what, but I am sure that this is one hell of a site and I for one am glad to be a member of it--and I swear to god i'll write a story for y'all really, really soon! I swear it! but seriously, my most genuine Thanks to everyone of y'all who takes part in this site and who do his part to make it the best that it can be. And to you who lurk and slither in the dark shadows of anonymity, please just join this site! We don't bite! We're really nice people and we always appreciate new voices and perspectives! hic a sexi scriptore vocatus est quod hunc locum invenit delectans. __________________ just my thoughts as a writer Things happen. |

Florida is, for the most part, VERY flat and VERY low. The highest point of land, in the very NW part of the state, is 350 feet above sea level. The terrain makes for very shallow, very lazy, very slow rivers. rpj |

shallow as a Florida river Yeah, Florida is basically a 150 mile wide, 500 mile long sand bar in the Carribbean. Just barely out of the ocean. Populous primarily on the coasts, flat scrub land, tropical swamps and jungle in the south, very small rolling hills and pine woods in the north. Most rivers are not much more than 5 feet deep and have to be dredged often even to support small personal boat traffic. The biggest true river, the St. Johns runs north & south, east of center between the great swamps in the south and Jacksonville on the northeast coast near Georgia. Like all ancient rivers it twists and turns on the flat river plain that averages around 30 miles wide. The river itself isn't much more than a thin running swamp that changes course somewhere almost every year. The Indian River which runs along the eastern coast from the Space Center down to Miami isn't even a river but a lagoon or an estuary (mixture of salt and fresh water) it is about 2 miles wide and a couple hundred miles long, opens to the Atlantic ocean in several places is mostly very shallow 1 or 2 feet but can get to 6 or 8 feet deep in places, except in the dredged channel down the center which can be a bit deeper. It's all sand so of course it has to be redredged often. -- LG -- Last edited by LeatherGryphon; May 16th, 2004 at 07:56 PM. |

I have a lot of bodybuilding forums on my Favorites. Most of them are european; and I am posting in some of them from time to time. But I have to admit: there is no such site as this one. Its really Great., especially because its about the freaky huge muscled guys. in real life or in fantasy stories. It gives me energy every new morning. __________________ hail the great combination of bodybuilding and the only male state |

I'd like to join in on this mutual admiration society as well...there've been times where I've wanted to stop by while I'm at work, because I sometimes forget that this forum is supposed to be a part of my porn-site rotation. I'm supposed to come here to jack off, not to read and engage in intelligent discussion!!! And I've been to a few forums and can definitely attest to the fact that we seem to be a little more articulate than most... Quote:
And re: the florida river...I guess that's why on every post-apocalyptic map I've ever seen, Florida is somewhere under the waves... |
