Long hair or short? Well, I personally have long hair, and I'm not the biggest guy around. But I was wondering if there was a preference between the two. |
| |||
depends on the person I'd suppose. some people just look better with long hair than others __________________ adult with the looks of a teen trying to gain muscle to achieve the body that matches his age and maturity |

Definitely short hair! I see very few guys who I think look good in long hair, and I mean very few. Josh Holloway of Lost comes to mind. |

short, defiantly short hair, love the high and tight and crew cuts, even bald or shaven. |

The eye of the beholder... There is a lot of gray area when it comes to a guy's hair length... A "Buzz" cut or its extreme brother "Shaved" are obviously short. As are most "Flat Tops"... If you have an attractively shaped head without scars or other defects they came look good... Shoulder length and longer is obviously long. But to pull it off you need really good hair and the rest of the package should be above average... The "Norse God" or "Ann Rice Vampire" look can be hot too... But a skinny Goth Boy with thin stringy hair isn't. (IMHO) I had a flat top for a while as a kid... That was in the late 50's early 60's... Among my heroes then were the "Mercury Seven" (Shepard, Grissom, Glenn, Carpenter, Schirra, Cooper, and Slayton) If you aren't old enough to remember or haven't seen "The Right Stuff" recently; they were the first US astronauts... Crew cuts were big back then... I cring when happen across pictures of me at age 8-9... short hair let my imperfect head show... and I decided to let it grow out... In college I let it grow down over my ears but I never let it get too long... engineering school didn't have a lot of Hippy wanabes... even in the early 70's. At this point I get it cut to about where I wore to in High School and let it grow out to about where I wore it in College... And I still have enough to have it look decent... Ender... |

I never really liked looking at guys with long hair. Most guys I see personally have very messy ones while the ones you see on tv look too effiminate. Btw, shouldn't this topic be in General? |

Usually go for the short look, buzzed, flattop, or bald. But there is the occasional guy with long hair that turns my head. __________________ ~rebo |

I'm of two minds to be honest. Usually when you do see a someone with muscles, they tend to have a uniformly short hair look to them. Almost to the point where it seems somewhat generic to be so. I'm not saying the look is bad; It's usually rather nice. But some from time to time, yous ee the ones with long hair... (although only Arnold comes to mind in Conan, and some of those characters from 300). |

There was a "long hair" thread way back when... Back in 2006, there was a short-lived thread on bodybuilders with long hair. You'll find it near the top of Page 31 in this section. The thread's called "Weird request?" and includes a number of pics (I've checked and the ones I posted are still there). It's not an interest of mine but it was of the guy who started that thread. Hope this helps Wild and whoever else is interested. I should point out that you'll find more long-haired bodybuilders in vintage galleries (when long hair was more pepular) as well as in natural bodybuilding galleries. BTW, I've mostly stopped posting here, because management is actively discouraging "regular bodybuilder" pics. I note however that people are still posting such pics as well as pics of non-bodybuilders, muscled furries and a whole raft of other things that have nothing much to do with muscle growth. So, I don't really see why Wild's getting such a hard time. Oh, well... Last edited by deetrakt; April 2nd, 2008 at 05:58 PM. |

I prefer short hair generally but a lot depends on the person; some guys can look good with long hair. |

I Definately Think Short Hair. It Looks More Masculine, Especially Shaved Heads On Some Guys. Long Hair Just Looks Too Feminine. I Was Wondering How Everyone Feels About Facial Hair On Men. |
| |||
Is this even a question? Short hair for sure, with military flattops being maybe the hottest of all. I like the bald look on certain guys as well. Long hair actually turns me off a lot, now that I think about it. |

Hm, lots prefer short. I'd rather have long hair and facial hair; it's the image of a Norse god I have. |
| |||
Short It depends how long.. Like if its girl long, Hell No! I like short hair personally myself But sometimes the surfer cut is ok, But I think its more manly with short hair |
| |||
It depends what the person looks like. I guess I'll say long hair |

I think long hair looks pretty good. Ade Rai prime example. |
