| Handsome fella'. My cousin (who was prbably close to 500 lbs) just got gastric bypass, and WOW, he's a whole new person. Before, even simple conversations lead him to breathe heavy, and it was kinda sick hearing/watching him eat (the breathing and slurping.... ugh). But his surgery has had an AMAZING effect on him. He's happier, more energetic, more confident, drinks less (well... he can never drink now... or he'll die), not to mention the fact that he's lost about 200 lbs now. Sure, he's still big... but he's not weating 4 or 5XL shirts anymore. Anyway... just thought I would share... |

| bypass Never underestimate the side-effects of gastric bypass... medications for life because you have a malabsorbtion.. you will lack vitamins, minerals etc. This becomes only apparent later in life (after 2-3 years) with serious deficiencies. We treat people to "renourish" them after a gastric bypass, because normal nutrition does not suffice to keep their homeostasis. No fun. __________________ when science meets muscle |
