| rumors of my demise are greatly overstated... Hello All, Yes, it has been well over a month that I have been on here. Nasty sandstorms and a broken satellite dish do tend to kill any internet. | Stupid question: Do you have a personal computer where you are? Forgive me for getting political, but if it's a public computer, are you afraid someone might review the sites people go to? If you're an American (I can't remember) you're not afraid of getting booted out, are you? If I'm getting personal, please ignore this post. Hell, I'll even delete it... but I'm just curious. |

| Not a stupid question at all... Yes, I have a personal computer and a handful of us went in on a satellite internet dish. For the past month, I have been using the public computers. (Early march we had a nasty thunderstorm book-ended by sandstorms. Totally killed the satellite. We finally got the replacement part a few days ago.) Since the public computers are gov't owned, they actually automatically block a ton of sites. All newsgroup, bulletin board, myspace-type, and forum-type sites are blocked regardless of who runs them. As for being found out... nothing in the army says I can't love muscle growth. I am not gay, I am not revealing secrets, am I badmouthing the military, nor am I portraying my personal views as military endorsement; so what could they really get me on? If they are stupid enough to kick me out for simply partaking in a group that allows for views divergent from those of the army, it is their loss, not mine. After all, they spent approx $125,000 of tax payer money to train me, we are at war, and my job is in high demand. Again, my viewpoint, not the army's. Hope you are well Abbraxis. |
