Muscle near-misses

OK, this isn't really an experience, or a sighting, but when I went to screen the new Harry Potter movie, Jean Claud Van Dam was watching Van Helsing in a different theatre. I tried to look for him, but I couldn't see him, or his boy friend.

Oh dear, that's going to upset several lady fans

Now, when it comes to near misses (or even far misses), I must top a poll here:

Missed by a matter of minutes (without realising)

Arnold in 1979 (on television)
The person who was "Rhino" on British Gladiators (1997)

Missed by a mile (and did know about)

The person who was "Cobra" on British Gladiators (1995)
Gunter S (can't remember the surname) during a live webcast of a contest (when my connection failed) 1999

Correction:

I don't know if this other guy was his boyfriend (romantically), or just a guy friend that he went out to the movies with. Most people who actually saw them thought it could be romantic, but I don't know.

I've seen him training a smaller, younger (20-something) guy at the gym. His past is a bit checkered with the ladies, perhaps he's choosing to pick on someone closer to his size.

You guys are making me laugh, a LOT today. Yes his past is checkered with the ladies, and with the boys. Maybe he's a switchback?I don't really care. It's just that he's really cute, and at least in the last movie I saw him in, has a killer body. I just wish that I could have seen him. As for orientation, I think that's his business, and nobody else's. As I say, this guy could just be a drinking buddy.

Well, I seem to remember Jean Claude having a killer pair of glutes from all that kick boxing/exercises. I had my tongue on the floor when I saw him back in the 80's? in a movie with him playing an aerobics instructor demonstrating his incredible flexibility in tights (his glutes right in the camera too) oh man, is it getting hot in here?
If you guys happen to bump into him, would you pass my phone number? its

More thoughts on Jean Claude

Jean Claude in his prime was (possibly still is) one good looking man. He seemed to posses perfect proportion, muscle shape, etc. Oh--and though this is the wrong thread for it--his hair was pretty good too!

I never did really enjoy his movies though--okay I did kind of like "Universal Soldier"--too bad his acting skills weren't on par with his biceps. Though that didn't seem to hurt Arnold's career.....

I've had the same experience. I'll stop at a light, look over at a billboard for one of those 1-900 numbers with the buff boys fondling each other, and a f**king buss will pull up to block my view! We need to work on the state level too.

PNP, maybe we should look at creating a transparent bus? Any smart people know how to do this?

Another type of near miss

So I had a 6 AM delivery of mice to the University of Oregon the other day in Eugene (about 130 miles South of Portland). The whole time I was driving these lab mice down to Eugene, I kept having visions of the medical school I was driving them to, and what nefarious, secret muscle-building experiments they may be up to. Unfortunately, I just got to see 1 unattractive male employee, and their loading dock. Too bad this wasn't set in one of Scott's (Corwin) stories...

Too bad Corwin wasn't at the end of the road waiting for you! :-)

(And, yes, I mean Corwin, Scott's alter ego, not Scott himself...)

Not to be too nit picky, but Scotty did indeed have a formula for transparent aluminum--but it was in "Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home." He gave the formula to a plexiglass manufacturer in exchange for enough plexiglass to hold two humpback whales. Of course, no doubt some of the materials on the Enterprise where made of transparent aluminum in "III" but "IV" is the most prominent meniton of the material.

Sorry, Star Trek talk brings out the geek in me...

Yes, but he was typing so fast I couldn't quite make out the formula. All I was able to remember was that he was using a Mac SE (circa 1986) with one of those awful 640X480 screens.

Star Trek

I notice none of us are referring to DS9... Speaking of Star Trek seasons that I hate, what is going on with this season of Enterprise? I don't care about the Xindi, and I think thier only purpose is to drain viewers from the franchise. That's my 2?.

Its ok Brent, I realize Trek talk can make even the most stable person get all Trekkie inside and boil over with pent up conversations.

Talking

Huh, what, a Trek Thread?

I think a personal phased cloaking device would be more effective Brent to run through the bus and traffic and over to the hottie.... just remember to turn it off before you introduce yourself, but not before you take a quick up close and personal look at what's under his clothes , lol. Remember, when in phased cloak, they can't see, here or feel

For what it's worth, I agree Brent! I understand that they seem to be using the whole Xindi thing as a basis for the formation of the Federation--but the combination of them and the time travel stuff, it's just too much.

So, is this officially a Trek thread now? If so, maybe we should start talking about the muscle that has passed through the Trek franchise. The guy that plays Trip isn't bad--and I was real surprised when the actor who plays Meriweather (is that the right name for the navigator/pilot crewman?) took off his shirt--wow!

Yeah! I forgot about that! Meriweather has a seriously ripped bod under that uniform, yikes!
Tripp is nice, but I love to watch Scott Bakula's bow-legged-bubblebutted stance If only he were to workout!!

Trek thread

I didn't intend for this thread to become a Trek thread, but I guess it did. The weather has been cold & wet here, so I haven't seen/missed much that I know of. Hopefully we'll get some sun soon. On the subject of Enterprise, I've noticed they do likie to take off their uniforms a lot on that show. I've also noticed that I like it when they strip down (especially Trip ).

Happy Memorial Day, if you are in a sunnier climate than I am, please look for material for this forum.
