Do you remember...? Tony Ganios from... The Wanderers (1979) Continental Divide (1981) The Porky's movies (he was "Meat") Totally yummy, totally hot, totally huge (6'5, built like a Mack truck) boy from Westchester County. More about him at: http://www.porkysmovies.com/cast/meat.html Adam Baldwin from... My Bodyguard (1980) AND Ordinary People (1980) And whole host of other things, mostly minor, plus recent recurring roles in 2 TV series, i.e.: Firefly (2002), as Jayne Cobb Angel (2004), as Marcus Hamilton Another big boy, 6'4 and shoulders as wide as a barn. As an agent of "the Senior Partners," Marcus Hamilton had superstrength in addition to being immortal. Seeing him "lift" (with assistance I'm sure) David Boreanaz waaaaay up into the air with one hand was HOT. As was his very brief, shirtless-in-bed scene with Mercedes McNabb (who played Harmony, the ditzy blonde vampire.) Yum yum yum. rpj |

He was in that fictional series about Nasa a few years ago too (The Cape???) I always thought he'd make a cool Terminator - he definitely has the size and look for the part. |

Which one? Ganios or Baldwin? Either way....SLURP! xoxo rpj |

Baldwin. I agree with you about his appearance in Angel. It was really good. He got to do some great stuff, and some incredible strength feats - shame it had to end. |

Who's the big guy in Spiderman I? Arpeejay, and others, The big guy from Porky's reminds me of the big bully from Spiderman 1 (the one who tries to punch Spidey in the school hallway and ends up flat on his back). Who's he? (Son of Meat? Distant cousin?) Mdlftr |

There was a home improvement show on HGTV a few years ago with a beefcake named Tony. There was an older gent as co-host named Walter. Does anyone know the name of the show and Tony's last name? I think it may have moved to DIY channel, but I don't have it. This Tony guy was buffed and wore slightly snug fitting shirts. And omigod, don't get me started on his tight jeans and sculpted glutes. I remember seeing him nicely big and later he trimmed down. I hope he decided to go back to his former big broad shouldered, beefy biceped, wide backed, and small waisted version of himself. I remember tuning in to see this guy and staring like a schoolgirl in heat as I waited for him to move and see those muscles do their thing __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! |

Tony Ottomun6, I remember this guy as well--he sure got me interested in home improvement! After that show seemed to disappear I found him, quite by accident I assure you, on a fishing show for one of the outdoor networks. Unfortunately, I can't recall his last name either.... __________________ "You can never be too rich or too big!" |

Hmm, I could have sworn I did an update post on the Tony fella (maybe I dropped it in the wrong thread) Anyway Notbigenuff, I figured his name is Tony Kramer. He does a segment on the DIY channel sundays at 11:30 am the show is called DIY Tools and Techniques. Unfortunately, my cable system dosen't carry it I seem to remember some of the satellite systems do. I remember thinking this guy was cute, and just making me crazy with the bulges under those flannel shirts. He looked to be very broad through the shoulders and small through the waist. It would be a dream come true to have him stand behind me to demonstrate proper hammering techniques! __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! Matt Gallant muscles? Is it just me or does Matt Gallant from The Planets Funniest Animals show have some rather beefy thighs? I mean they won't worry most pro level bodybuilders, but for such a smallish looking fella, those legs seem pretty big. And that wide macho-cowboy stance keeps my attention too. Yes, I know his voice could use some testosterone therapy. I'm wondering if he was sprinter once upon a time. Or maybe he did a lot of bike riding? But then that leaves my muscle growth oriented mind wondering- his genetics could make him sprout some serious tree trunks if he were to hit the gym and work those babies into king size proportions P.S. Notbigenuff, I'll keep an eye out for Tony Kramer too __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! Last edited by ottomun6; May 31st, 2004 at 08:34 AM. |

Otto, I've found some DIY stuff on my cable's "On Demand" content. What should we look for? They have very little from the DIY network, but their is some stuff there. What cable do you have? I have Comcast digital cable. __________________ God is in the rain. |

I have regular Comcast, and don't have DIY channel. I think I may have seen it tossed into other programs as tips and pointers, but not a full fledged channel. "DIY Tools and Techniques"would be the program. Tony Kramer is probably about 6'1", black hair (maybe a touch of grey by now), with black (or dark brown) puppydog eyes, handsome and a nice build. Keep in mind, I only dug up the recent info at the DIY site, and I have not seen him on the show myself. I only remember him from a couple of years ago on HGTV. __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! |

DIY Network There are 42 DIY programs On Demand, on Comcast currently. (It's under Lifestyles for people that may want to know.) However, there is no DIY Tools & Techniques. __________________ God is in the rain. |

I'm sorry to say this, but I just saw an episode of DIY Tools and Techniques today at a friend's house- there was no sign of Tony Kramer Maybe he only comes on occasionally? I only hope he is still out there somewhere- I really want to see this guy again. I also saw "Along Came Polly" and was surprised to see Hank Azaria (plays Claude) isn't just occasionally lifting weights, he is buffed. I have seen him in other movies and could tell that he was fairly beefy through the chest by the way his shirts seemed to fit. In this movie, he is naked and VERY muscular looking - even his legs are packing some extra beef!! I was staring so much at this guys bod that I didn't recognize him as Hank. Now if only he could beef up those glutes __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! Last edited by ottomun6; June 6th, 2004 at 08:58 PM. |

I'm so dumb I do have DIY network. It's channel 204, but I always thought there was nothing worth watching on ch 200 to ch 500. oops! __________________ God is in the rain. |

I'll have to rent "Along Came Polly" tonight though--thanks for the tip! __________________ "You can never be too rich or too big!" |

Thanks Notbigenuff, ...Herman's Head!! that was the name of the program the first time I noticed Hank. I remember thinking of him as skinny, but his shirt buttons seemed to be ever-so- slightly stretched out over those pecs. __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! Interestingly enough, on one of my infrequent trips to LA I was able to see a taping of Herman's Head. Prior to the show several cast members came out and chatted with the audience. Hank Azaria came to the section of the audience I was in and between scenes kept us all amused with several of the voices he did--and still does--for "The Simpsons." He really is one talented guy. __________________ "You can never be too rich or too big!" |

Another "Do You Remember?" Now that I am thinking about some of my favorite muscle on TV, does anyone remember the episode of "Friends" where Phoebe is dating two guys. The one is an intellectual and the other is a muscular fireman and by the end of the show it turns out that the intellectual is very well built, too! Anyway, I know that the guy who played the fireman has been in a lot of stuff ("Caroline in the City"--which I watch mainly because of the guy who played "Dell"--the movie "Roxanne" and others) but I don't recall the name of the guy who played the intellectual. I'd really like to know if he's ever been in anything else. __________________ "You can never be too rich or too big!" |

I'm pretty sure the School Teacher Phoebe dated was played by Robert Gant. He now plays Ben on QAF. I'm pretty sure there is a link to some pics of him in the TV/Film thread. |
| |||
Thanks Willfrog13--I don't get QAF (too cheap to pay for premium channels) and would never have figured this out for myself. __________________ "You can never be too rich or too big!" |

Matt Gallant Yes, Ottomus, I also have noticed quite a nicely developed host of Funniest Animals on the Animal Planet show. VERY nice built but not "too muscular" for mainstream audiences. I see that they've replaced him with another host but lately, I've seen Matt Gallant back on the show. Hopefully it's not just reruns! Dave. |

Interestingly enough, the other muscular guy in that episode of "Friends" was played by Matt Battaglia. Battaglia was also in QAF, playing Drew, a married football player having an affair with Emmett. |
