Following the sucess of the lunar eclipse experiment I'm looking for volunteers from the following nations to take part in an experiment to determine if a solar eclipse affects strength levels in the same way as a lunar eclipse. Back in February, I asked for volunteers from North America and Europe to keep a track of their 1RM on the night of the lunar eclipse and compare it to their last 1RM on the same exercise prior to the eclipse. I was expecting not that much interest (but someone from Houston agreed to help) and noted that on his last chest day before the eclipse he could do a 1RM of 230lbs, on the night of the eclipse he maxed out at 280lbs (a 22% increase) and so would like to repeat the experiment to see if the same thing happens again. The solar eclipse happens on August 1st 2008 between 0803 UTC and 1230 UTC and can be seen over the following nations: Greenland, Russia, Mongolia and China (as a total eclipse), Europe, Asia (bar Japan), Asian subcontinent and the Middle East (as a partial eclipse). If anyone is interested in taking part, could they please e-mail me before July 15th 2008 with their name, GPS location / name of largest town and what bodypart they will be training on August 1st 2008. __________________ The stronger they are, the more muscled they are |
