Bigger Brother

I'm sure not everyone here is a little brother. How about a story with a big brother who becomes an even bigger brother.

Yeah I understand where your coming from . I'm an older brother and it would SUCK if My little brother outgrew me it would just piss me off haha! But for some reason (and I think its the idea of domination) I love Little Brother growing stories, and I don't see how you could make a Big Brother Growing story hot.. well for me.. Usually in my stories there has gotta be some domination. Someone could do it for sure and it could be cool depending on how you play it... Anyone got any ideas

Well I don't even have a brother at all, (just one little sister) so I would LOVE to have a little brother who was into muscle growth! I guess I could take it either way; I just completed a novel where the oldest of two brothers actually became a super hero, and the youngest bro actually helped out the older, super-bro and gave him advice. He also listened to him when big bro felt down or depressed. Sometimes it would just be nice for the little bro to BE THERE and listen...

On the flip side, I wrote TRISTAN, where the little bro, Tristan, rapidly outgrow big bro, Richard, and started displaying feats of super strength! But Tristan quickly became Richard's protector, since Rich was very geeky and nerdy in school and a favorite target of the bullies. You see this scenario in stories like "My awesome little brother".

One great idea for a new story would be where a big brother grows huge and sets an example for the little bro. The big bro goes off to college, leaving the little bro behind with all the weights and a home gym at his disposal. Little bro works out like crazy and hulks out, and then, when big bro returns for Christmas or Spring Break, he realizes that little bro has gotten bigger and bigger. Finally, during his senior year, when big bro returns, he is astonished when he sees that little bro has passed him in size and strength...

I'll just be snarky and point out that in addition to "domination" it's some degree of "role-reversal" you're digging here :P

Chris, I have to agree with you again! In fact, one of the BEST "big little brother" stories on this site, in my personal opinion, is "Davey's Destiny" by Rowan, because it illustrates the "role reversal" theme SO WELL! That is most likely the one thing, aside from Rowan's exceptional writing skills, that makes the story a true classic. Davey may dominate Justin, his older brother, from time to time, but it happens more often in the story that the roles are reversed: Davey takes on the role of the "big brother" while Justin assumes the role of the "little bro". This was so neatly illustrated in the last chapter (written over six months ago.... Rowan, are you listening?) when Davey started to explain a math problem to his older brother. I loved that scene! Of course, Davey does become the "bigger" brother in the end, since he outgrows Justin physically.

I don't have a brother so I have no idea what it's like to have a little bro, but stories like this make it fun to imagine and dream "what if..."

His idea about a big brother coming back from College and finding out how big his little brother has become sounds a lot like the upcoming Chapters of my story. In Chapter 27, Mike (Andrew's new protege) explains how bullies targetted him all through High School and how his Big Brother Mark, who Andrew trained to become a football player, was too busy being a jock to pay Mike any attention. However, once Mike had a growth spurt before Grade 12, Mark suddenly noticed him again and started training him in football. He directed him towards Andrew and Mike soon started getting bigger and stronger under Andrew's guidance. When Mike and Andrew go down to Miami for Christmas Break to see Mark, they'll surprise him with how much bigger and stronger Mike is! And Mike's OLDEST brother Matt is 6 foot 7 and 350 pounds of solid muscle! He's in the Army and he trained Mark a bit when he came home on leave. So Matt's genes for size are inside Mike, waiting to be unlocked by Andrew's training so that he can explode in size and strength! Then Mike can protect Mark at College, since he'll be bigger than 6 feet and 200 pounds by then, and he may be able to walk-on to the college team as an Offensive Lineman. So he will literally protect Mark on the field, since Mark is the Quarterback for the college team.

Um, just to help you all remain on point here, an older brother coming back from college to find that his younger brother has outgrown him is exactly COUNTER to what the OP was suggesting... So, really, does anyone have a story in the works where the big brother stays big? Or perhaps, since everyone here seems obsessed with role-reversal, an older brother who's smaller than his younger brother, goes off to college, and comes back bigger?

Personally, I have little snippets of a story that's been floating around my head for a while, floating around my comp; it fits the bill somewhat, though the siblings' relationship is not the focus, and whether or not the story will actually ever get finished, let alone posted here, is something yet to be determined...

But seriously, guys. Stay on topic.

If the original suggestion is the BIG Brother who gets Even Bigger, then Mike's OLDEST brother Matt in the Andrew Stories would be a good pick for that character. He's in the Army and he trained Mark a bit when he came home on leave and then trained Mike later. Matt was always Mike and Mark's big brother, being eight years older than Mike and seven years older than Mark. Mark and Mike got to watch their big brother explode from 6 foot 5 and 260 pounds at age 16 (when he first joined the Reserves) to 6 foot 7 and 350 pounds by the time he was 18 years old! As Matt gets MUCH bigger and stronger, he protects his little brothers and helps train then to be muscular like he is, watching them get bigger each time he comes home on leave. But he STILL dwarfs both of them, even when Mike eventually reaches 6 foot 5 and 260 pounds.
Does that fit more with the theme of the Original Story suggestion?

I think the idea is refreshing. I'd like to know stories like that, especially if the younger bro started growing bigger more than his older at first and when the older was like use to it, he grow a lot surpassing the other by much. As if the natural growth genes in his family haven't fully kicked till his younger bro was bigger than him, then changing the roles

ok so there are 2 brothers one is 17 and the other is 16
the 17 yr old brother is more like his mother 5'8 165 lean but not fraile build

while

his 16 yr old bro is more like his fater at 6'1 190 pounds a wreslting freak on the varsity team

base the story off of this idea and ur set

That last idea sounds like what will happen to Mike in the Andrew Story. His mother's side of the family was big, that's how his oldest brother Matt got so big(6 foot 7 and 350 pounds). His older Brother Mark, who is 19 when Mike is 18, tops out at 6 feet and 200 pounds, taking after his father's side of the family. Mike puts on 30 pounds of muscle over the summer with Mark's help, going from 120-150 pounds. Andrew's intensive strength training program during Mike's senior year in High School helps unlock the muscle genes inside Mike, making him go from 5 foot 7 and 160 pounds to 6 foot 5 and 260 pounds of solid muscle in just ten months. Then he becomes a Walk-On Offensive Lineman on the College Football Team while his brother Mark remains the Starting Quarterback. How does that sound for a story idea?

I like the military Idea. Big Brother leaves for the military when Little brother is 14, and over the next 2 years lil bro develops a huge love for big muscle guys. And somehwere when he's 16 big bro show's back up fuckin huge! About ready to burst out of his clothes etc.. And he's way taller too. I think it could be hot if the little brother tries to catch his older bro shirtless, or in the shower etc.. And then of course the older brother would continue to get bigger, maybe even the little bro pushes his older brother to get bigger and worships him. It could be a ton of fun!

Check out the first few pages; they describe the situation that is the story idea for this thread. Also some excerts near the end of Andrew Chapter 26, when Andrew finds out how Mike was bullied at school for many years and his big brother Matt wasn't around to protect him.

Seriously. More stories with the big brother becoming even bigger. I'm the little brother, but I always found the older brother growing to be hotter.

Edit - Actually, I don't find the little brother outgrowing their older brother hot AT ALL.

im not the lil brother but i have 2 younger step brothers who are more like borthers than step brothers to me and i do agree i think the other brother growing to be an even bigger bro would be a nice change to see . so many stories are dominated by the younger brother out growing the older one. If it hasnt happened yet it will happen soon enough where stories although unintentional with mimic on another.

just my opinion in this.

Step brother might be an easier situation, especially if a genetics explanation is going to be involved.

Don't take on too much either, Socc, if you have your hands full then pass on this one. I'm half tempted to take it up myself but I know I too am unlikely to finish it in a timely manner knowing my own personal schedule for the upcoming month and then heading into the holidays.
