Does this abdominal routine make sense? Hi guys. I used to actively work out, but after a long period of inactivity, I'm just starting to get back into it again. The routine I am following has each muscle group worked twice a week, including the abs. One ab day consists of crunches and lying leg lifts, to tone and shape the abs they claim. The other ab days consists of weighted crunches and weighted knee-ins, to build the abs. I don't think I've encountered an ab routine like this before, so I'm just wondering what your opinions are. |

Stay away from the weighted ab exercises until you get your bodyfat level down to the level you are hoping. Weighted exercises for the abs will only extend your abs if your abs aren't toned enough. |
