Marvel Comics, Infinity Gems

In case you don't know, the Infinity Gems (in the Marvelverse) are 6 gems which if someone has all of them, they can control the whole universe and omnipotent.

Purple, space- pretty simple, it allows the user to exist at/move to any spot (or even multiple spots) in the universe. Also can warp space, rearrange the universe, all that sorta jazz. Can't really grow with this one much.

Blue, mind- Also simple, any kind of psionic power you can think of, this little bugger can do it, enough said.

Green, soul- Now here's one that might cause some growth, especially if used with the next gem. This gem is always hungry, always needs to feed on souls.

Yellow, reality- Here's the big one. Most likely the most powerful (and most difficult) gem to use, it allows the user's wishes to be fulfilled, no matter what that wish might be, even against the laws of science, especially if the user doesn't think out their wish. (But if you think about it, couldn't the user just wish for the laws to change?)

Orange, time- Just like the blue gem, if you can think of something involving time and time travel, it can do it, pure and simple.

Red, power- Has access to all energy that does, can, and will exist in the universe; can boost the power of the other 5 gems. Allows the user to replicate almost any type of superhuman power and essantially become invincible.



So...can anyone possibly do something with those?

That sounds like an interesting idea, but if all seven gems were discussed the resulting story would probably be enormous in scope, with one muscle-enhanced character battling six other characters whose modus operandi may be quite different. For example, if we made the gems a bit less all-encompassing and said the red "power" gem could imbue strength, he might still struggle to a stalemate against whomever holds the blue "mind" gem, who psychically detects his presence and intentions with enough time to flee and/or prepare a trap.

I suggest a story based on the infinity gems reduce the number to two or three, and have only the protagonist endowed with superhuman strength.

Heh, I knew about the gems from playing Marvel Super Heroes in the arcades. They're really accurate to what they're supposed to do.


Maybe a story where someone gets all the gems and modify the universe to his liking? And by that I mean change everyone around him probably even himself.
