the bowflex guy... Wow i just wanted to say i got up early this morning, turned on the t.v. and saw this BowFlex Infomercial. In it was this huge muscle man ... dark hair... humungous upper body... proportioned pecs and arms i would love to have. I was like "hmmmm... i wonder if the BowFlex can make look like him?" LOL. (mind you he is a massive guy , muscular thick) anyone else seen it? |

Is this a new ad? Their guys haven't been huge in the past, but now they have competition. Trust me, I have a bowflex, and they are crap. Use that money to join a real gym. __________________ God is in the rain. |

I've seen this ad a couple of times. It's the standard bowflex type ad where the salesman gets a group of men and women that are all in great shape to "try out" the equpiment. Amazingly, they are universally impressed with the awesome workout they can get on this machine. Most of the guys in the ad are what you would expect: good shape, some muscle, defined but not all that big. But in this one, there's a thick guy that stands in the back. So even when others are working on the equipment, you can see him in the background. He gets on the machine and does I guess the machine's equivalent of a dumbell press and everyone oohs and aahs over his pumped pecs (which are quite nice!). But the guy is incredibly thick all over. He is clearly bigger than the others and the host refers to this a couple times. I belive the ad is still playing so you should be able to catch it on Saturday or Sunday mornings. |

yeah i know ... i was like " I wanna be his size... he's amazingly thick and powerful looking." Imagined being his size... whoa was I hard as hell. LOL. |

Hey, just saw this ad again this afternoon. It was on CNBC - the financial news cable network that runs lots of infomercials on weekends. The big guy was named Ricky and my favorite part is still at the end of his workout. This is where the host and the others point to and admire the big guys hugely pumped up pecs. |

How was your experience with the Bowflex? I know it was bad, but did you get ANYTHING out of it? Has anyone else out there trained with the Bowflex or Crossbow? Let us know what happened. I think it would be informative for those who have it on their minds. Pr4, I agree that "Ricky" guy is big and thick. When he finishes his set and flexes those pecs, my zipper almost busted open . I only wish we could see the faces (and bulges) of the other guys as they get excited at the sight of those big pecs as they go BOOM! They kind of remind you of a pair of football helmets- big thick and very round! __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there! I got some help from the Bowflex, but it is still sh*t. I was way smaller then, so someone like Otto would get NOTHING from it. the Bowflex has very limited range of Motion, and it is made of cheap plastic. Don't waste your money. __________________ God is in the rain. |

That Guy is Rich Piana That big, thick guy is Rich Piana, and he's a personal trainer and actor living in Los Angeles. When I used to go to Gold's Gym in Hollywood, he was a trainer there. Pictures of him can be found at Rich's Repetrope Page |
