i'll say! i just wonder how many of those guys are into muscle though. i know that i would be having to visit the bathroom after every guy i had to paint up.

IN this vid, Branch looks like he has already applied a coating of color. What's being applied here - the baby oil to hit the highlights?

Why would a competition level builder allow a stranger to do this? In "Education of a Bodybuilder" Arnold always talked about how applying the coats of color and oil were an important part of his own backstage routine, crucial to improving his appearance before stepping onstage. He wouldn't let some stranger do it -- that might mess up his carefuly calculated appearance!

I'm surprised current pros don't have someone in their entourage do this.

Actually, I believe they do. Of the competitors I know, they usually have a friend or relative who accompanies them to deal with all these sorts of things. Or in one case, I do know of two friends who both compete and serve as each other's backstage helping hand!

Had to resurrect this thread for MORE BRANCH! Seems someone over at MDTV is just as horned for the beast as I am. Some awesome shots of his sweat-drenched musclemass working over the equipment really good in this one:

PS - If you don't have time to watch all ten glorious minutes of big poppa, just fast-forward to 8 minutes in when he's doing delt flys and his massive barrel chest looks ready to pummel right through the poor machine, as sweat drips off his forehead and his muscle nips threaten to burst right out of his wimpy tank!

As hot as that is, when you've got the side view of that meaty chest and the tank disappears between the pecs (around 7:25) is pretty hot, too. Awesome video...thanks for posting the link!

ok have any of you actualy been to a bodybuilding show????? at the IFBB the company dream tan as booths set up for there people to paint the body builders useing the dreamtan product. this product is applied by rubbing it on to the skin but doing this creates smears and bad looking lines it is then patted in to the skin to blot and blend.. after that yes some people use baby oild some opt for cooking spray < yes it works> or other clear coat to increce visable deffinition and some use it to enhance vascularity
