Olympics 2004 No doubt all the members of this group will be watching the Olympic Weightlifting Competition (and wondering what would happen if the gold medallists suddenly grew), and so with that in mind, may I be permitted in posting (when the results are announced), the results of the men's weightlifting contest (by weight group), the weight lifted and the weight as a proportion of the athelte's bodyweight? |
| |||
post away! the Olympics mean the world to me!all these young people from all over the planet trying so hard...it inspires me in my daily life.i guess that's why Gay Games was so important.not just the power,but the flexibility&co-ordination of the weightlifters is amazing.it's a very tense,exciting sport! |

This reminds me of when I was a kid, I would try to secretly tape the Olympics' weightlifting challenges when my parents were out. Please do post, I think we would all enjoy that! __________________ God is in the rain. |

Talking about Olympics It is not directly linked to muscle growth, but to me it was one of the hottest olympic moments. Sunday, when the South-African team won the 4x100 Relay for Men - beating the favorite teams of USA and Australia and also establishing a new World and Olympic Records, the third swimmer (whose name i can't recall) got so euforic about their impressive achievement he got up on the strating block and in moment of pure ecstasy he flexed his two massive arms - showing to the audience a perfect olypmic physique and heroic strenght, soon the other swimmers joined the flexing hero in a hot display of olympic muscles. I thought it was worth to be remembered by us the muscle lovers __________________ There's no such thing as TOO BIG! |

it's incredible.. as much fun as people used to make of bodybuilders,(&still do!)they have entered the vernacular.they're"pumped"for the game;muscle poses as signs of triumph!there's a universal attraction there!p.s.i watched the women's weightlifting.i am now,officially,a wimp. |

The shot put and men's gymnastics I watched the men's shot put last night. Some pretty big boys, there! I swear when the American who ended up with the silver fell down, you saw the ground shake! First time I ever saw shot put--pretty amazing display of brute strength and quickness, since you need to push a 16# ball off your shoulder with only one arm. It seems as if the only momentum you get is when you spin around just before the release. Being able to heave something over 69 feet is damned impressive! The men's swimming and gymnastics were also awesome! That Paul Hamm, at 5'6" and 140 pounds, displayed incredible strength in the Iron cross on the rings and in his overall smooth, calm, demeanor. He deserves the all around gymnastics gold medal! Enjoying the Games of 2004, Mdlftr |

Although one expects to see most muscle on the weightlifters the gymnasts and swimmers also had very impressive physiques. |
| |||
those gymnasts have wonderful physiques, my favorite being Jason Gatson, even though I find their arms, shoulders, and chests to be a bit disproportionate...but that's not bad in any sense I missed shot put, which is a bummer because the thickness there is awesome, but I'm really looking forward to heavyweight weightlifting, especially Shane Hamman. That guy is a monster, 350lbs and only 5'9''!! that's how tall I am, and i'm 200lbs lighter. |
| |||
I think the men's gymnastics was just great. The muscles bulging on the rings exercise and what great strength. I want to be able to do that........ |
| |||
I know what you mean but could only find this picture from BBCi By the way, which would be the better rings person (we'll find tomorrow when the Men's Rings title is decided), a lightweight bodybuilder or a fully trained gymnast? |
| |||
The Greeks are best at the rings but you will have to do with a picture of a Korean instead |

God Save the Queen I just ellected, in my opinion, the hottest body of the olympics - I know you must think he's a weight lifter or a gymnastic - but you're wrong! His name is Tony Ally - from the GB Pool Jumping Team - you wonder why chose him? Well, usually jumpers (or divers i don't know the english word for sure) are built but they have to be thin and light so their bodies produce less impact when entering the water (sure, the technique is really importatnt) - anyway most of jumpers (or divers) are thin lean built young men (from 16 to 25 years old), but this man Tony Ally os different. He is incredibilly muscular and heavy to be a jumper (or diver), his chest is incredibly wide and huge pecs bouncing as he relaxes before the jump, his ab packs are ripped and he has wonderful thick legs and arms as well, his body is completely smooth even his head is shaved. When he stands next to the other competitors WOW - his muscular figure and tanned skin makes him look twice the size of them. As for resulsts, well he is not ranked at top 10, at least not on this olympics - the comentator (one former jumper) said that due to his great muscular mass, he may be too thick and heavy when entering the water, which cuases him to spill too much when he dives (or jumps). But although he will probably gain any medal - to me he is alrady gold! Muscular, tanned, smooth as a baby but and muscular as a greeek god! I just loved his body, but i can't find a pic of him - maybe you can help me - he competed on the Springboard for men and Synchronized Springboard for Men competitions (his parnter also shaved his head trying to get more similar to him, but their pshysiques were completely different, Ally always had more impulsion and he entered the water faster and spilling more water than his "skinny partner") Anyway - god save the Queen. And he is a silver medalist to boot in the 10m synchro diving event on day 2. This is a picture of him from the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002 (and I think he's grown a bit since then) |

gymnasts was buffed AND lean!! his biceps looked like he borrowed them from Arnold Shwarzenegger in his prime! Phew, that little man had some serious arms. ...oh, I think he got a silver medal while he was there to pass the time __________________ -ottomun6- It's time to stop sitting on the sidelines and get in there!
