Digibacker Before and After

I was inspired by the "Old Clothes" thread in Real Life Experiences to find some photos of me from the past wearing clothes I still have today. Here's one of me wearing a baggy t-shirt in August 2000 that is quite a bit more snug today in 2009.

Thanks guys! I wish I had kept better track of my "before" stats (though, perhaps I didn't because it's not a state I enjoyed being in, LOL).

In general though, I was built like Shaggy on Scooby Doo. Tall, 6' 1" and skinny, about 175 lbs. I sort of remember my arms being in the 13.5" range many years back, thighs (which are naturally large) were about 23".

Currently, my weight is hovering between 265 and 270 lbs. I finally hit my initial goal of 18" arms a couple weeks ago. (When flexed, the peak of my bicep is 6.5" above the bottom of my tricep, which doesn't sound like much until you look at it on a ruler! LOL) Thighs are around 27.25", chest is 48.5" (still trying to get to 50"). The only downside is my belly -- I've got a bearish, pot-belly-pig kind of build (which I don't mind but some people aren't keen with). Belly has been steady for the last few years at 45", belt-line is 38".

I'll probably add some more pics as I can find good before and after examples. The trouble is finding the same (or similar) clothes -- most of what I used to wear is either already gone or impossible to get into! (I used to wear medium or large. The shirt above was a gift someone got me as extra large. And nowadays I wear either larger extra large or 2XL, as sizes vary.)

Here's a new one. Last summer I tried on a pair of 34W/32L jeans I had from about 10-11 years ago. The "before" photo may not be the exact same pair, but I had several the same size and colour around that time.

I have another view I'll post later tonight.

Digibacker those pics are a major tease, congratulations on the amazing progress over the years, don't worry about the belly as long as you feel healthy. Would be nice to see more pics and I'd also like to hear about your experience, if people reacts different to you with a beefier physique and what stuff you couldn't do before that you can do now with the added strength.

Fantastic progress! Congrats on the transformation, and as far as the belly...what belly? All I see are immense thighs and a massive physique...kudos!

I know you're wondering, what belly, but keep in mind I've been a bit selective about the photos. LOL

I might try getting a full body shot up later so you can see what I mean.

Nothing wrong with the bear belly. I, among others, appreciate a bigger man. There is no law that says you are not a bodybuilder (when you clearly are) unless you have a 6 or 8 pack abdominal muscles. Way to go on your transformation.

Whoops...my Internet connection was changed recently, so the Web server they are on isn't currently visible to anyone outside my private network. I've asked my support guys to fix that -- should be up again a bit later in the day.
