Fall Bulk-Up Challenge.

OK, so it's the first of Oct. & not many people got results this Summer. So how about a Fall Bulk-up challenge. Let's see how much we can gain under our wooly sweaters, while lifting heavy!

I currently weigh 223 pounds, as of Oct. 1, 2004.
My current stats are here, and my current pics are here.

oh no's

here we go again just when i was starting to slim up abit .right now things get harder for me my weights and bench and all are going in storage for till spring
to make room for all the wood we cut to burn in the winter which means i have to
drive out to golds every time i want to work out after 7 years of having my own weight room i admit i'm spoiled .yes it sucks to have to drive 35 min to the gym each time but there is so much more there then i have at home first time i went to golds last fall i was sore for a week and i loved it.summer didn't go well at first for me so i had a late start i had to take over for my boss for the month of june. i still
don't measure i used to 7 years ago but every week it was the same or close to it
i keep a journal of what i do how many sets and how many reps what weight. its been very noticeable for me and it keeps me motivated.

Well I shouldn't imply that everyone wants to bulk-up this Fall/Autum, but I did want to start a Fall thread so people can track their won progress, and the progress of other members. I hope this will be a clean start for others here that struggled this Summer.

Yeah, I get my ass to the gym regularly (headed there very soon) and it way helps over home-workouts.

What's wrong over 210? I've been about 220-227 for about a year ad a half.

The move is stressful; this is the first major move I've done without my parents doing it for me. We have a nice apartment down in LV. I will finally have a dishwasher! Rob & I have our change of address forms in, and we are registered to vote in Nevada. Giving up my phone number will be the most difficult: it's hard to get a "503" number for your cell phone (mostly they stick you with 971 #'s) and we both have 503 numbers. But that's pretty minor.

what's wrong with over 210?

it's MY problem.still have some dancer/bodybuilder schizophrenia.even if it's all muscle(it usually isn't)there comes a point where,if i get too heavy,getting out of a chair gets to be a big deal.if you're not over YOUR threshold,enjoy it!

I am enjoying my weight, even if it isn't all muscle. Also, I think it's become much easier for my to get out of chairs, the massive increase in leg strength means that I don't even have to think about it, or lean over... my legs just do it for me!

N, I can't wait to see the rest of your stats, at 5'6 & 185, you must be pretty built to start off with. I also hope you will include a pic or two, even if you have to crop your head, etc.

hey guys - since I just now finally started working out again (at home, with bowflex) I'm going to stick with my pre-summer growth challenge measurements and pics.

Can't wait to be posting some progress on this thread in another 3-4 months.

Ok guys, ive decided it is about time i took up the challenge aswell. I now enter the fall bulk up challenge although for me its actaully a summer one (southern hemisphere here). Im currentlt about 5'10-5'11 weighing in at 82kgs, not sure what that is in pounds sorry guys. been going to the gym twice a month now but now that things have settled down at work im planning to kick that up a notch, plus im changing gyms to one that is closer to home. Hope the extra workouts will help me take off and hopefully i will work out what im doing aswell. I will post more stats io here later if you guys want and watch them increase, hopefully.
Joel.

i just read my own post again and realised i wrote i had been going to the gym twice a month, i hope most of you read that as i was supposed to have written that, twice a week. (slight difference). Anyway i joined a closer gym today and scored myself a free mountain bike for doing so. Not bad if you ask me, so up ready to take this fall (summer) challenge head on.

Joel: I did read that as twice a week, but I think you might want to go more often than that. As for weights, 1 Kg == 2.2 lbs (aprox.) So you would be about 180 lbs.

Glam, you are right that aussie tend to be hot.

Grywlf, let yourself heal. Your infection sounds like a bad one, and you use the same immune system to heal from disease, as you do to heal from your workouts. I hope you are back to full speed soon!

Started bulking about 5 weeks ago...was just under 190....just using creatine, glutamine and Mag-10 (stock up guys... it won't be legal for much longer). 202 now, strength's goin way up because of increased calories and clothes keep getting tighter...

Granted, a lot of the bulk is concentrating in my gut. Unfortunately, that's the way I grow, but there's always springtime to diet down.

See you at 220, boys...

Well, I'm currently taking a couple week delay, but that's OK. It's just God's way of making me appreciate my health I guess. Soon I'll go back to working damned hard, but I'm currently rooting for HulkMuscle. He's a great guy, with a great chest, and he's making great progress.

Even before my accident, my lifting was seriously impacted by Rob's constant health issues. With no spotter, my lifts have been basicly frozen.

He says that they will be better in a week and a half, when I'm back in action. However, I'm spreading my options with exercisefriends.com. (hint: my name is the same there is it is here, because I'm totally uncreative...)

OK, fall (autumn) has been over for a couple days now. I've had a sh*tty 3 months (gym wise), how has everyone else done? It's high time for a Winter challenge. Any suggestions for names or goals of a winter challenge?

Teddy,
try a shorter routine. That way you're more likely to stick to it.

Joel, Maybe we should name it in quarters for our friends South of the equator!
