Is HGTV on Steroids?

I ask this because of the muscle men that seem to be jumping onto this channel! There's already a thread on Roger Hazard but today I was flipping through channels when I saw another, much hotter guy show up on the channel.

The show was "Mission: Organization" and it was one of the episodes featuring pro-designer Gianfranco DiLuzio. He was helping someone organize their home but I only paid attention to his huge biceps! Truly Gorgeous.

Gianfranco has a website but there's only one notable muscle picture. That said there are a few others and he's more than handsome enough to only need a headshot (even though just a headshot would be a shame.)

One more note: Yes, he is gay, hence the muscles.

Yeah, I've noticed a lot of the design shows increasing the amount of male muscle around. It's a trend I rather like...

Hmm... even a few current designers have started to beef up a bit. Vern Yip from Trading Spaces for example has gotten a tad larger over the past few years. Unfortunetly he wasn't part of the crew last season, but I think he is coming back

It's a conspiracy I tell you, they know that plenty of women watch these shows and they know that if they bulk up their men they'll get better ratings

Here I thought I was the only one who noticed that Vern got a little larger--and he was a bit larger still in his recent return show. We've, of course, talked about he muscle hunks on "While You Were Out" and the guys on "Clean Sweep" are looking better too. I'm going to agree with you that it's partly due to an ovet effort to attract women, and probably gay men too! I say enjoy it while it lasts, the bubble is bound to burst sooner or later and these shows will disappear....

These design shows seem to be the resting place for ex gay porn stars - hence the reason there is an unreasonable amount of extra muscle on the men. I have seen ex porn stars on these shows - too many to mention

Anyone else notice this?

It's not women they're going after with the beefed-up designers, since most women aren't a fan of big guys the way gay men are. I always say HGTV is short for "Homo Guys Television"

At first I agreed with this, then I thought of some women I know that like beefy guys, and some gay men I know that like twink boys. In fact, lots of my mom's straight, female fiends prefer gay porn for the guys. I think they are trying to get a wide array of hot guys to appeal to a wide large audience of both gay men, and women. That's my 2?.
