My NEW Morphs

I have been working on a few new morphs and thought I would post. (Dont worry, I am not going to post like last week.) I am working on getting a web page where I can upload my morphs and either just post the link or a few morphs to the board. Thanks for the feedback.

Hey ~ I am using a few tools. First I am using AnmanieSMP. Great application. I am also using a paint (from Microsoft) and Adobe Photoshop Lite. Both do a good job of smoothing out the surface of the skin and give the picture some depth that is lost during the morphing process. It takes a while since you need to go back and fourth between programs quite abit. But well worth it. Hope that answers your question. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

OK, I went and tried the "AnmanieSMP". Yes, it has some nice deformation functions. Seems to have plenty of subtle control over the degree and rate of deformation once you get used to it. Very nice specialized tool.

I'm not familiar with Photoshop Lite. Is that the same as Photoshop Elements (1 or 2)? Does it have layering capability? Does it have a magnetic lasso? If so, with those functions you can try using the magnetic lasso and copying a figure out of the background of the original picture to make a separate image to be worked on by AnamanieSMP, then pasting the morphed image back over the original background which would make a great photo without distortions of the background. I know Photoshop Elements has those features. If anybody needs help of that sort, I love to teach.

OK, this is an example of what I'm talking about. I used the "grow" and "pull" brushes in AnmanieSMP, and the "magnetic lasso", "defringing", and "layering" features of Photoshop 7 to create this image. I know Photoshop Elements 1.0 has magenitc lasso and layering but I'm not sure it has defringing but with careful lassoing or some smudging you can blend in the overlayed image. Note absolutely no distortion in the background.

Again, I'm not familiar with Photoshop Lite but Photoshop Elements 1.0 has it's own "Liquify" tool to do similar things to AnmanieSMP but without as many neat parameter adjustments. Thanks for the tip on AnmanieSMP!

Great work! I like the definition and the blending. Its tough doing the pro BB since they tend to be more vascular and the veins are tough to smooth out. But what a great job. Photoshop Lite came with a digital camera I got about 3 years ago. Its very similiar to Photshop, but doesnt have all the bells and whistles that the full version does. It has some pretty good blending and pasting tools. Also as some good layering effects for perserving the background. Its kinda tough to use at times.

what I use

For my morphs I use photoshop 7, I tipically do the morphing with the liquify filter, it's great because you just pull the pixels and do whatever you want with the pic, for fixing background distortions I just use the undo brush. Other tools I use are the noise filter for restoring back the grain, the clone brush, and the curing brush...
I'd recommend you use some sort of tool like the liquify, it gives a lot better result than all the warping and stuff...

luck!

Talking

Hello Maverick,

Just by chance I ran into Tommy Thorvildsen at the Gold's in Las Vegas last week-end and saw him working out with his friend. Talked with him briefly afterward. He took off his shirt in the locker room and posed awhile. Super nice guy. Impressive even unmorphed.

Great morph of him.

John

Not trying to discourage, but when the picture becomes distorted (when you can see the 'rings' or 'circles' or when the muscle starts looking flat where you morphed), it looks fake and very unbelievable. Try to keep everything undistorted.
