San Francisco Bodybuilding Household Forming Now Hey there guys, Just a heads up that one of the other guys on this forum and I have just met, in person no less (shocking!). We worked out together, and are now making plans to find a place in San Francisco, somewhere near GOLD'S SOMA. The start of a household dedicated to supporting its members in fulfilling their bodybuilding/muscle growth dreams. A while back I put up a detailed post here, outlining my personal "dream" bodybuilding household scenario. We're probably not going to fulfill all of my dreams in that posting, but we're gonna do some of them. Such as prepping meals together, workouts together, etc., and general support of each other to stay focused and reach our bodybuilding goals. If anyone is interested in joining us in this venture, now is the time to chime in. The currently planned move-in date for a new place will be sometime between August 1 and September 1. I've begun looking at apartments, but would be pleased to look for a place for three or four of us instead of just two. If you are interested, email me directly at [email protected]. __________________ Working out is erotic, once you really get into it. Last edited by monstermusclebe; May 29th, 2013 at 09:31 AM. |

I agree. Someone in NYC should do that. __________________ Rule 34: If it exists, there's porn of it. If not, it will be made. Exception: You can't invoke rule 34 on itself. |

well id love to see more houses take shape id like to join one |

How do I apply? is there a minimum income, size, weight, age required? I'm already built (5'3" and 191 lbs), so I would like other "roommates" to be similar (as big as I am)... Thanks... |

A dream come true, BUT i don't live in America... AS the title says, joining you in a muscle household would be a dream come true for me because i'm a really skinny self-conscious 19 year old from south east asia, that desires to bulk up and become strong and lean with the rest of you and i'm also really into muscle and everything on your profile! sigh... |

San Francisco BB Household ~ Update and Interest Survey I have been talking about getting a place in San Francisco for years now. I am finally doing it ~ have the funds to do it and all ~ and will be lining up a place sometime in early April. Roommates to move in either the same time or in May, IF there are any. I'm even open to waiting for the right guy to move in to the apartment at the beginning of June (which means your room will be open and I'll be paying your rent for a month, waiting for you), though not beyond that. If you can't make this timing, it's certainly ok to let me know you are still interested for another time. As for roommates, I either want them totally into bodybuilding and muscle growth, or I don't want any roommates. The place is going to be in the SOMA area of San Francisco, ideally walkable ~ and certainly bike-able ~ to FitnessSF-SOMA (formerly Gold's) and World Gym. This is non-negotiable. Let me be clear: I don't need a roommate. And any roommates I do take in will need to cover their share of the rent, which will be around $1000 - $1250 per month, probably. I'll be covering the majority of the cost of the apartment ~ more than my share ~ even so, as it will be a nice place, and I also will be seeing clients during the day (I have a life coaching practice). I am seriously into bodybuilding, I workout 4-6 days a week plus 4-6 days of aerobics currently as I'm in a cutting cycle. I eat very, very healthy and expect any guys in my apartment to do the same. MOST of the time. I'd actually love it if we all got into similar diets, but that may not be possible, as mine is atypical for bodybuilders (lots of raw food, though I'm an omnivore not a veggie). No strict vegetarians, please. Newbies: I CAN coach and support a guy to get into the bodybuilding lifestyle, BUT they have to be ready to do what I say regarding food and exercise. I won't accept excuses on why you can't workout this month because you are simply too busy at work, etc. I'll kick you out. And the roommate(s) have to be able to cover their portion of the rent. And they have to have at least some history of being willing to do what it takes regarding bodybuilding i.e. if you haven't worked out in 2 months and you want to be my roommate, forget it. Instead, get yourself into the gym NOW so when the time comes to join the house in April or May, you have done enough work to prove you are ready. But let me know you want to do this NOW, so you can be in the running for a spot in the house. I am not attached to having or not having a roommate. In some ways I'd prefer not to have one, actually. But if the right guy or guys are out there, and the timing is right, I'd love to have the opportunity to have us help each other achieve our muscle growth dreams. If you are interested, DO NOT POST A REPLY HERE. Instead, please contact me DIRECTLY via email at [email protected] and ANSWER the following questions as clearly and completely as possible:
Your answers to these questions will get mine. Hope some of you are interested! All the best, Markus __________________ Working out is erotic, once you really get into it. |

This house idea sounds awesome actually. If I had known about it earlier I may have been up for it. I just signed a 1 year lease for a new place in the Tenderloin, but my previous apartment was in SOMA and I still work in in the area too. Plus I have a fitness SF membership and work out there (the SOMA one) at least twice a week with my trainer. Keep us posted on the progress of this house idea. And when you're done moving to SF let me know, maybe we can grab some coffee sometime and commiserate about getting bigger |

Can I visit? Will bring food. |

REAL Grow House Forming Near San Francisco Hello Men, Once again I'm looking for guys to join me in a bodybuilding household. This household will be in West Oakland, CA, in a 4 bedroom that I am searching for right now. There will be TWO openings initially. I will be renting the place for myself on or before April 1. Applicants to join the house will want to be able to move in between April 1 and July 1. The house will VERY LIKELY be walkable to BART and DEFINITELY be bikable to BART as well as a nearby gym (which will be mandatory to join if you are not a member yet). The structure of the household will be somewhat similar to that of living in a fraternity house, with a few additional agreements. This most especially means that there will be monthly dues, which will go toward paying for your: (I) rent, and (II) household staples, which primarily means tons of high-quality food and core supplements, but also includes things like cleaning supplies. Dues will be on a sliding scale between what you can afford and what you are ready to do for the household (such as shopping, cooking, cleaning, errands, possible additional administrative work depending on skillset). That said, I am / we are NOT looking for any household member to be paying zero dues, except perhaps on an emergency basis. Sorry guys. The minimum combo to expect for dues and rent combined will be around $800 per month. That INCLUDES super high-quality bodybuilding food and core supplements (protein powder, glutamine, creatine, BCAAs), a room of your own, and sharing the living room, kitchen and dining areas with the rest of the house. These shared areas will include a 50" flatscreen, leather couch, etc. ALL members of the household will have regular responsibilities to the house as a whole, ranging from food shopping to cooking to (possibly) laundry to admin. Guys who don't do anything extra beyond these basics for the house will then generally expect to pay between $1200 - $1400 per month for dues to start, which again include all groceries, core supplements and rent, depending on your room size and household responsibilities. NOTE: Serious bulking diets will need to pay more dues, when bulking, to cover additional costs of additional food. Household members will be encouraged but not required to follow this seasonal pattern to their bodybuilding, give or take a month: October - February: Bulking; March - June: Cutting; July - September: Maintaining. The food in the house will be super high quality: essentially the best you can get if you are a bodybuilder. Very close to what Arnold Schwartzenegger and his buddies ate when they were becoming huge. I've studied bodybuilding nutrition for over 15 years. My diet is rather unusual (so was Arnold's), but it f***ing works. That said, household members will have the option of following my diet or following their own (provided it isn't too hard to prpare by someone else), and scaled to your own personal needs for cutting, maintaining or bulking. Most household meals will be prepared in advance either the night before or the morning of, so that household members will always have enough food to eat the five to seven meals per day required for bodybuilding. Some of your dues can be set aside for you to have a day or more off from house meals each week, if you prefer. The house may even choose to have a "cheat day" every so often. Household members will be strongly encouraged to workout at the same time of day, and ideally workout together. That said, bodybuilders often have strong opinions about workout programs and so no requirements will be set in this regard. That said, household members WILL be expected to workout consistently, except due to SERIOUS illness or (once every 12-16 weeks or so) an intentional week off. Newbies will be required to workout with a more experienced member of the house, and to follow their workout program, until they feel ready to step out on their own (same goes for their diet). This household is NOT for the faint of heart. Nor for guys who are hoping they can make moderate changes in their lives. This household is for guys ready to jump in and devote themselves to bodybuilding. A little about me: I'm NOT a huge guy myself at present, thought not bad off, and off-season at the moment: 5'10" 205# 48"c 18"a 35"w. I'm 46 yrs of age, rather attractive (your pic gets mine), so for you young guys: just consider me the house dad and/or (if you want me to be) your bodybuilding coach. I'm not going to try and get in your pants (and I'm rather picky about who gets into mine in any case); we're here to workout and grow, so let's DO that. Key Questions:

SF Bay Area Grow House Update Well guys, I've rented the apartment. Good news, it's an amazing location with an incredible view of San Francisco and the Bay, and right across from a beach, no less: easy to get tan for the muscles we're growing. It's about 10 minutes from Fitness SF Oakland, which is an awesome gym with facilities we can use throughout San Francisco. The house is 1/2 mile from a Trader Joe's where good food comes pretty cheap. Bad news is that I only have room for a single housemate (2 BR), and/or a couple, and also the rent is pricier than I expected, too. What can I say, I like water views. The application info can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/TVXJZKY Info on the apartment can be found here: $900 Room Available with Bay View, Across Street from Beach I've always thought this was a long-shot, as moving and location are such a tricky thing. Timing is everything. Given only a few guys have applied to date and none have actually fit the criteria (the ones who completed the application couldn't afford the dues) to date, I'm forced to open the housemate situation up to anyone, hence the Craig's List ad. Bodybuilders will continue to get precedence through my move-in date on March 16. YOU (bodybuilding housemate) don't have to move-in then, but you DO have to apply BY March 16, and you need to be able to move in within approx. 2-3 months. After March 16, if there is no legitimate interest from guys on here, then I'm opening up the room for a housemate of any stripe who fits my criteria in the Craig's List ad. In addition, as I mentioned above, the apartment is more expensive that I anticipated (see view), plus just room for (probably) one housemate, so... It's now $900 rent, period. And since this house is just for two, well, it's no longer "dues"... we'll just work the grocery, food, supplements and other costs out, as housemates. That said, I have my own business and have need for a marketing assistant, so it's possible I can defray some, possibly all, of your food costs in exchange for work, IF you got the right skills. This doesn't mean that the grow house is dead: If I do get a bodybuilding housemate, and after a few months we together decide we want to grow the house with more members, I'm certain (due to location of the apartment, which is obviously prime real estate) we could get the landlord to agree to terminate the lease early, so we can move to a larger place. __________________ Working out is erotic, once you really get into it. Did You Find Someone Just curious if you found a bb to move in? |
| |||
Not Yet... I haven't found a bodybuilder housemate yet. However, I am not renting out the second bedroom at this time, as I've got some friends who will be traveling this way over the course of the next two months and I want them to stay here. So the room remains available for the right guy who wants to grow huge while living on a beach in the heart of the Bay Area (in Alameda, 7 minutes drive to Oakland, 20 min to SF). __________________ Working out is erotic, once you really get into it.
