Talking Bodybuilding Contest!

The results are in. All of the extreme and bland dieting, hard cardio, twice-daily training, and posing have finally paid off. I took home TWO trophies last night! I took second place in the Over-50 Category and I took third in the Lightweight Novice! Pictures are forthcoming.

The guy who beat me in the over-50 category competes all the time and is extremely lean (Read: Concentration Camp Skinny) and the two guys that beat me in the LW Novice Division were both under 24!

Well, there's no way I can make myself younger (or is there?) but I can concentrate on coming in to contest more defined for my next competition. Yes, I enjoyed it and had a great time. Taking home a trophy just makes it all the more sweeter.

The song I posed to was by the Black-Eyed-Peas “I Gotta Feeling” (it’s gonna be a good night) – AND IT WAS!

Thanks all of you for your kind words of support!

Yes! It was fun and exciting to see what my body can do. And the two trophies don't hurt!

I have a friend that had competed in that contest, but didn't place. How big was the crowd? Was there a lot of competition large turnout for the weight classes and your category?

And congratulations on your win!
