What you think is what you get My bud was explaining to me how that most supplements dont work and that if you think they work they can or will. He said it was called placebo effect. So I did a bit of searching on the web and found lots of information on how drugs or training methods give the same result of more strength or better health even if you did not get the real drug or real training method. I guess what that means is that our more powerful than we think so all this muscle growth talk and fantasy stuff works if we are training, eating, sleeping it will only go to help our performance if we take it seriously and really see ourselves as huge and muscular. What you think? |

I definitely think your mind is more powerful than your body. Arnold always imagined his biceps as big as mountains. And Dorian Yates used to go over his working in his mind before he even got in the gym. IMHO you have to believe you can get huge, I mean truly believe it more than just wanting it. |

Strength training is actually a matter of self confidence when it comes to breaking physical barriers and limitations. Think of it as getting used to what your actually capable of rather than building on already existing strength. There is an obvious limit though - just because you feel confident to benchpress a family car, dosnt mean its going to happen. Supplements are exactly what the label says "use only in conjunction with a balanced diet" You may as well save your money and just have a diet that already provides the same ingredients as the supplemnets in the first place. |

Think of it this way. When you were a kid and didnt want to go to school you made your self sick by thinking you had a stomach ache. The same is true in the gym. If you go in and see a weight and think its heavy well guess what??? IT IS !!!. its how you approach it. As for supplements i am always amazed how we believe our friends with reguards to them. Supplements are designed to assit your normal nutriton plan and not designed to replace it. The mistake most guys make is that they don't have a solid nutritional plan and put too much reliance on supplements. All supplements work in some way but its your nutrition that will govern their success. |
