Zach paced around his room, waiting for his best friend, Ben, to arrive at his place. Ben was supposed to arrive at 4:30 and, even though it was four on the dot, Zach was getting anxious. The small white bottle would have been practically burning a hole in his pocket, if it wasn't in the medicine cabinet in the bathroom. That was how bad he wanted to try the small pills that had changed Ben so drastically. To pass the time, Zach remembered back to the previous day.

The two college freshman were changing in the locker room of the college's gym after a good workout when Zach decided to test out a new supplement he got in the mail called MuscleMax 5000.

"Hey, Ben," he said as he fished the bottle out of his bag, "I want you to try something."

"Sure," answered Ben, "what is it?"

"Just a new supplement," Zach said vaguely, opening the bottle. He tilted the bottle just long enough for a small blue pill to tumble into his open palm. Both boys had decided to start a workout regimen after they saw many of the more muscular guys walk away with the better looking dates. Zach gave the pill to Ben and, without thinking, the latter swallowed it. Zach silently remarked how naive that was. However, he was soon thankful that the pill didn't kill his best friend.

In fact, the supplement did exactly what Zach expected and then some. Ben started breathing heavily as veins began emerging from beneath his skin. His heart rate has gone up, Zach thought as he watched the entire spectacle. Amazingly, Ben's chest expanded as if he were inhaling. However, his lungs weren't filling with air, but his pecs were swelling with rippling muscle. Steadily, his burgeoning pectorals swelled with power and near-superhuman strength.
