Magic or science? Do you prefer magic or science being the catalyst that starts the muscle growth? My stories (I have two in the archive) use magic. |

Either. If it's magic, anything is possible. However, if it's science, I want the science to be believable. Gain 20 pounds in 20 minutes, you gotta explain it within the laws of the universe (p.s. you're permitted to tweak the laws of the universe if how you do that is part of your explanation ) |

Doesn't bother me What do meteorites/alien artifacts come under? magic, or science (fiction)? Only problem with science is if one person can come up with it then so can others, and there's always more than just one person working on the project. Also, as it's usually the military who will reap the benefits from that sort of research, there's always the problem of the army wanting control of the subject, whereas with magic it can be kept more secret. Personally I like it when the guy can grow bigger and revert to normal so as not to draw suspicion, I mean, can you imagine how cool it would be if the skinny guy you picked up, saved (?) from bullies etc could suddenly grow and become your biggest fantasy? __________________ There are 2 rules to being a success in life: 1. I suppose I like a mix of both...realistic fiction, that is, science-sounding or science-based stuff that works in fantastical ways...like a formula or treatment that allows for realistically impossible growth or along those lines. some of my favorite stories are the ones where the subject is put under a treatment of some kind and is then exposed to lots of energy--food, electrical, muscle, whatever--and grows and grows. magic-based stuff doesn't turn me on too much because magic to me lies in a realm that I don't associate with sex |

I like both, but I prefer science, it's hotter, because it's more likely to happen sooner or later ^^ __________________ Thufir Hawat aka Sam |

I like both, if done well. |

Definitely science. And credible is better. |

A good story is a good story. Either can work. Having said that, my preference is magic. There are so many more possibilities when one doesn't have to worry about the way the universe really works! __________________ Pondering another literary endeavour. |

Definitely some science-based cause, with the ability to change back and forth, not necessarily at will. Also, some other fun side effects thrown in... |

I remain agnostic between the two -- have used both, including science that acts like magic. Either way, it works. |

up for science! I prefer science, for some reason I have the belief that science is more masculine, and magic to me makes me thing more of a feminine thing. Also, the idea of a scientist that turns into a superman by his own effort, study and knowledge turns me on. mutador |

I've said I prefer science but thinking it over I realized some of the stories I like best have magic or irrational science as the catalyst. Go figure!? Ultimately though, I really like well reasoned science as the foundation because it just might come true. Stay tuned for part 2 of "Infinite Possibilities". |
