Scientists verify "muscle memory"

Seems like scientists have verified what trainers have known for some time - if you build muscle, then slack off, you have an easier time building back muscle.

Most bodybuilders can attest to just how powerful muscle memory is when they cut up for a contest they often lose a substantial amount of muscle. Post contest its incredibly easy for bodybuilders to "gain back" alot of size very fast.
