Telling Details

This could have gone under "living with muscle"...but it's a litte more specific.

The telling details that document your change from regular guy to muscle monster:

The first time you notice that your shirt is tugging on the buttons when you inhale.

The first time you realize that your jeans are tight around the thighs.

The first time you have to buy boxer briefs because boxers ride up on your thighs and in briefs you chafe.

The first time you realize that the muscle stud you see reflected in the store window is you.

The first time you can move your belt buckle in one notch.

The first time somebody asks if you work out.

The first time somebody calls you ?buff?.

The first time somebody asks you to ?make a muscle?.

The first time you realize your pecs are bouncing when you jog.

The first time somebody asks to feel your muscles.

The first time somebody cops a feel of your muscles.

The first time you have to go out and buy new bigger clothes.

The first time your mother/friend/spouse says you?re getting ?too big?.

The first time you realize that other muscle studs are checking you out.

Feel free to add to this list!

The first time when you go to a changing room in a shop (store) and for the first time you really notice yourself and your physique in the mirror and flex purely to admire yourself in that mirror. For me it was an Abercrombie and Fitch store somewhere north of Boston in about 1998/9 when I was there on a Fall colours trip from the UK. Part of the reason was I had no decent mirror at all at home. The first time I got one over my fireplace I could hardly stop posing each night (still can't).

The first time you are in a situation where you could go shirtless even though it is possibly a bit cheeky - eg again in that shop situation - taking your shirt off to try something on in the store rather than going to the changing room. Or going to your local store shirtless or walking down the street shirtless for the first time.

The first time someone stares at you and you can see they are looking at your body and not your face.

The first time someone compliments you on a particular bodypart

(For the gay boys) The first time you think someone has viewed you purely as a piece of beef and without saying anything feels ur pec, nipple, arms and is a bit in awe....

The first time the cuff of your favourite short-sleeve shirt sticks to your bicep.

The first time you open a strong, spring-returned door too hard and it slams into the nearby wall.

The first time you notice the chain you always wear around your neck has no slack anymore.

The first time you try on that sportcoat you haven't worn in a year and find out you can't bend your arms.

The first time you break the handle off of something.

The first time you notice your friends at the "all-you-can-eat" sushi place are stuffed and patiently waiting for you -- even the cheque has arrived -- but you're still hungry.

(All of these are from experience. )

Alongside the pec bouncing when you run - the first time you run down some stairs quickly and realise that your pecs moving up and down are hurting u and you slow down....

The first time you really go hell for leather with a particular bodypart and find you can hardly do ordinary movements the next day.

The first time you first see veins in your arms.

The first time you deliberately buy a tight t shirt or a size down formal shirt just to look kind of bursting out of it...

The first time you realise looking in your mirror that your lats have grown and your arms seem to not swing forward and back and instead swing in a more side to side motion. Really big guys I know say when you are too thick to do a behind the neck shoulder press.....
