Best Hardcore Bodybuilding / Muscle gyms

I watch these youtube videos and i see these muscle gods lifting wihout their shirts and it takes me back to my old gym where you would occasionally see a cocky built stud remove his shirt for some sets of curls or something. over the years the gym became less of a hardcore muscle head bodybuilding heavy iron grunting clanging sweaty haven and more of a "club"

i wonder - are there any good old gyms anywhere - anyone know of any? i am going to be traveling all over the US for the next year or so and would like some recommendations. I def want to check out Metroflex in TX - seems hardcore. Ive been to the Tampa gyms where repetrope films their muscle videos. def want to hit the 2 outdoor gyms in San Diego.

rxmuscle and musculardevelopment forums both have threads devoted to cataloging hardcore gyms.

My gym, Bev Francis Powerhouse in Syosset (Long Island, NY) is great. The same guys who will never let their towels slip in the bathroom will drop trou right in the middle of the gym floor and do impromptu precontest prep posing routines in their micro underwear to self assess. You could luck out and watch a famous pro train, and there are often photo sessions for the major muscle mags and lifestyle video tapings in progress.
