New to this. (Art)

So far, I've been lurking a bit.

I've seen such great support for new artists and encouragement so I thought I'd post up a quick piece (fingers crossed against rejection). I apologize because I'm new to drawing big muscles and men in general having only recently taken an interest in exploring mass muscles and the like.

I'd like to thank all those who have supportive of new artists in general. I hope to produce some reasonable appreciative work.

I hope I can do some justice to this new fascintion of mine.

'kuch,

Good job! Looks like you're picking up the conventions of the genre rather well.

Hi Yinn. I think you have a good thing going here. Cloud really looks hot and thick in your drawing. Does this mean we'll get to see more of your work (and soon)?

FF & KH

I play Kingdom Hearts which has Cloud in it, and he really looks hotter in your pic than in the game. Love It!!!! Keep up the good work!

Thank you all for you encouragement to this muscle lover virgin (of sorts) .

Mdlftr,
Thank you for you complements. I hope to be able to get better at capturing the genre.

omelissokomos,
I am always in awe of your work and you are an inspiration. I hope I can do justice to more drawings in the future. Although I admit to sometimes not having any idea what to draw sometimes.
I hope to do more in the future also.

darkluster4,
Kingdom Hearts is a great funny hame! Altho; I know Cloud from FF7. If all the chacraters were the same as the drawing in Kingdom Hearts , I dont think the monitor will be big enough to see everything (LOL).

Mad Dog,
Thank you *blush

Great Drawings

I loved the quality of your trace, I always wanted Cloud to have big strong ars and a buff chest, thank you! Also i really enjoyed the other buffed video game character you've done.

Since you are in lack of ideas, and you seem to be really into video game characters, what about a most muscular version of Ukio from Samurai Shodown? I always hada thing for his sad look, but muscles would really go very well with his blue hair )

Anyway, thanks for the art, hope you can continue doing them

muscl4life/Bruno,
I look at the picture and draw if i can get a reference. I do not understand what you mean by quality of trace. I'm sorry

Thank you for your nice words as well.

I hope Ukyo is okay. I decided try a more classic approach in the style.

Cool Wow!

Way Cool. I give your art a TEN in sexiness, grace, quality, and style. I agree with glammaman2000 a 110%. It's totally unique, and sadistically romantic. The other two are extremly well done, and I think you should practice both styles frequently. Do you think you could do Leon?

Obviously..

..the massive young samurai is lonely. He longs for something;but what?To be worshipped? To have the splendor of his training&discipline valued in love as it is feared in war?Unbeknownst to him;in the harbor;a young sailor looks at the same moon with the same loneliness.Far from home;the blond gaijin is champion in all things;a hero to his comrades. They will be sent to meet each other in battle. But,when they meet,....?

Wow

That was fast! i didn't even though you would do it so fast! Thanks a lot, Yinn, what I meant earlier was that your trace is excellent, but just beucase it resembles like you've just traced them on a sketchbook, that's what i like most about muscle in drawings - hehe

But your Ukio is soooooooo good, he looks so sad and romantic

Thanks a lot man

I feel so glad that you like my pieces.

glammaman2000,
"Hot & Romantic" ... thank you. I have never seen it that way. I did not imaginr it could be romantic as well. Just trying to make it more authentic to those old styled papyrus paintings.
I suppose it is not the same as most muscle art. But I'm sure there are many other styles as well
Btw: Who is this blonde gaijin sailor? Tell me more

lurkabout,
Thank you!

darkluster4,
Sadistically romantic ... wow (LOL) I didnt think of it as sadistic! Thank you, I will try and practice more then. By the way, I finished Leon (Squall FFVIII).

muscl4life,
I was hoping he looked sad, but i wasnt sure because there's not as much detail to the features as I like. Mood is mostly from the colours., strokes and environment. Thank you for appreaciating it.

omelissokomos,
You are always most thanked and welcome! This genre has given more reason to draw again actually. I stopped drawing for a year since my horrible breakup.
It is okay, I can produce a large quantitiy of work at a time but it really depends on my mood as well. including inspiration thats why I like to do collaborations and have people give me ideas

The Ukyo artwork was amazing... awesome color and tone, not to mention his new buff look.

But why Ukyo instead of Genjuro?! Genjuro's totally buffed out to begin with... and he knows it, going shirtless to the fight!

Yes! That's more like what I'd like to see Final Fantasy heroes look like. Cloud and Squall remain handsome in your drawings, but they're more substantial, something I've always wanted to see. I get tired of seeing the waifish, angsty boy heroes all the time.

Now, what I'd really like to see would be another Final Fantasy heroine (Terra and Celes rock!), but that's another matter entirely.

If you want a suggestion for source material, I've always thought that Sabin was quite attractive, though he's already very well muscled to begin with.

Would that be Sabin Rene Figaro in FF6 or FF9?
Younger smooth or Older scruffier bearded self?
From the pictures I see, he could always use more mass. But that is a matter of preference. Would you like to see it ?

10 Q notes.

Personal Thank You Notes:

claygrant,
Thank you. Yes, Genjuro would make a nice subject next. I shall consider him.
Glad you like the new buff look for Ukyo. I guess its sometimes fun to see the leaner characters more buffed up.

n2size,
Thank you. I really liked working on the last one too (Squall/Leon).
I will send more as long as I can get ideas, inspirations and supports.

Lufone,
Thank you, I'm glad you found the FF characters to your liking.
It is nice to sometimes have more fantastic characters represented rather than a waifish slim lead bisho-like hero. It seems to be a trend. HOpefully one what will change soon or else fans will have to resort to making art like I did (hehe).
__ I could do women, but you are right. It is for another matter entirely. Altho' I may not be understanding the matter entirely. Its not as pretty to pack all that mass and muscles into female characters.

Mad Dog,
Thank you. I see a lot of people liking the more artistic style of Ukyo.
It looks like it is nicer to see a story behind a picture ... or any picture, which is maybe why Ukyo is well received.

---

I will try and do more, but it depends on my time. The few I did so far have all been fun and very quick to do. Maybe one day when I have time, I can do a semi-realistic rendition on oil, gauche or something.

I have just one word: wow!

Your drawings and the way you use colors is simply amazing. I loved the Iori and Ukyo ones, and the Squall is just awesome. I'm all for you doing Sabin, cause he was really hot, but I would also love it if you tried my faves from FFVIII: Seifer and Zell (not only are they hot in their own, they also make a really good couple!).

Thanks so much for all the drawings!

~Ashley

From FF6. I like the young and cleanshaven look. I'm fond of his younger self. I'd love to see a picture of him by you! I'm sure you'd do an incredible interpretation. The Amano watercolor of him might be hard to work from, though.

As for the women, I was more just pipe-dreaming about Square-Enix's heroines. They tend toward the waifish as well, unfortunately. At any rate, smaller, "athletic"-looking heroines (good tone, but not huge) appeal more to me. It's the ripped guys that I look forward to.

Your work is stunning!!! I really liked the Iori, you made sure his chest is visible (there are few, if any, where Iori doesn't show his chest). I like the size you have given to characters, it fits them very well.

Keep up the great work!!!

Character suggestions (as if you don't have many already):
Yang/Yung - SFIII - i really like them, sue me.
Kilik/Hwang/ Yun Sung - Soul Calibur - They need to get bigger

Cool Right On The Money

I just now saw your Sqaull/Leon art, and I have to say it's every thing I dreammed for in the character. Every new art post I see from you, your talant just keeps growing. If your not carful you may take O's place as my fav. Great job.

Another one

ashleydelfin,
Thank you for you compliments and for you wonderful idea. I definitely try the couple drawing this time around.

Lufone,
There is little reference about Sabin. I have enough I think, but you can't ever have too much (lol ) Working off the Amano artpiece should not be a problem. Its more like a challenge rather than hard.
Ahhh, more athletic women. Like the ones in StreetFIghter: Chun-Li and Cammy!

jiggyborg,
I'm glad you like Iori. Although he was a quickie. I might redo him another time and day because I like his character too but he is also too popular at times (lol).
Yang/Yung - SFIII - i really like them, sue me. I like them too!!!
Kilik/Hwang/ Yun Sung - Soul Calibur - They need to get bigger Definitely!
The main male character from Phantom the Animation I dont know who this is. Sorry
wrestler from junk shop: He looks very interesting to draw! But sadly, I might need more than one picture. Hopefully full profile to consider drawing him. Cute too!

darkluster4,
I'm so glad you like the Leon/Squall pic. It was actually easier than I thought.
Oh no! I cannot take 'O's place. He is the original and it is not my intention to replace him as your favourite.
Ahhh, packaging. The way I see it, Leon's more of a 'grower' not a 'shower'. But I though it was about the same size though. Maybe its harder coz of the leather pants. I will try to leave it partially unzipped next time for better viewing.

WOW again!

The kissing couple is simply hot and yet so tender! Loved the detail and the angle you took on that scene, truly a hihg quality artwork!

Hehe, just seeing this kiss gave me so many naughty ideas - What kiss could be hotter than one between Cloud and Sephirot? Especially if Sephirot got a lot bigger and more muscular, like he would be kneeling to kiss a spelbounded Cloud, no more fight just redemption to the biggest muscle!

Anyway I guess i got carried away -

Cheers

It's OK
Alright, I understand. I guess you'll both have to be on my fav list. Great job on the new art. Any chance of Sepheroth being in the near future?

Well,
I tried.

I did 2 pieces this time, Trying to recreate the the same watercolour feeling but I did its not as good as the Ukyo one. The new one is a quicker rendition of Sephiroth. I know I could do better
I think the energy of the pair of Street Fighters. I kept most of my sketchlines for Yun and Yang becasue it more dynamic and has a certain movement to it.

Notes:

muscl4life.
I'm happy you like the kissing and that you thought it was tender. I wasnt so sure people would like it since I made them romantically involved. But it could be a manly sort of kiss between friends too, right?
You are suggesting more kissing in fact, no?

Herculean hunk,
Thank you! Ah, characters like Ken and Ryu are all over the internet already and they are drawn very big already. I don't think I would make a difference (lol) ... but thank you for liking my drawings.

Mad Dog,
I'm not so familiar with Edgar, sorry. Tell the truth, I did not play any FF games at all. I only enjoyed looking at the pictures and watching my friends play.

glammaman2000,
I thought I saw people do seom really good iinteraction pictures. 'O' does some amazing interaction pieces! But I suppose it is harder to find couples. It is harder I must admit, because there is more planning and composition thinking involved. From colour, to expression between characters.

darkluster4.
Thank you again. You should be seeing Sephiroth in the following.

How wonderful it is

When we discover another fresh talented artist, I'm really proud of all the excellent works and most of all, the nice dedicated fellow members who are willing to spend some of their precious time making our fantasies come true, at least in the paper - hehe.

Thanks again for the Sephirot drawing, very tender and angelical, as the character itself - once again fantastic job.

Cheers

Bruno
