Has anybody got a link to Lesukov current stats or what he is doing as I cant find anything on him after 2008. He seems to have dropped of the scene but there is another younger guy Lorenzo Beckewr who seem to be almost as big as Lesukov in competition form at 5'7" and 220lbs which I think is as heavy as Lesukov ever was. Any current pics would be great guys.

Alexey is scheduled to compete in the Body Xtreme Invitational in Frankfurt on October 31st. Hopefully, we will be seeing some new vids/pics soon after that!

Lorenzo rarely weighs himself but the few times he's posted stats over the past 2-3 months he's been between 209-215. He's 5'7. The pix on the previous page are a pretty good indication that Aleksey, who I believe is about 5'6, is quite a bit bigger than Lorenzo, which is no great surprise given than Aleksey is 21 and Lorenzo just turned 17 (a week ago today, in fact, on October 3rd.)

It's probably a bit -- how shall we say? -- pointless to try to compare stats on two young men who have never met. Lorenzo plans on competing for the Mr. France IFBB title in 2011, when he'll be 18 going on 19.

It will be fun to watch both of them grow. Aleksey has the head start but Lorenzo is quickly catching up; they both have awesome potential.

I loved his posing. It's so nice to see someone actually put together a routine. All Americans do anymore is hit the compulsories over and over. They need to restore the "Best Poser" award, so they would have some motivation to be creative.

I think that posing routine bordered on an old robotic routine, which was done in the late 80's. The russians who have some of the best bodybuilders around, couldnt be that behind in routines. Sorry, it didnt work for me, but obvioulsy for the judges and thats all that counts.

I agree with arpeejay...love Alexey but hate his posing style....it's jerky, distracting, and does not show off his fantastic physique very well. Sometimes, there's something to be said for a traditional approach, and I think this is the case for the way bodybuilders present themselves onstage.

I notice that his lats have a definite line of separation between the top part (perhaps that is partially where his rear deltoid ties in) and the lower "fan" part where it spreads out from his torso.

According to the Muscle Chart that came with my Bowflex, I think the muscles you pointed out are the latissimus dorsi, the teres major, and the infraspinatus. I could be wrong, of course.

Man, to be that developed so that even the "minor" muscle groups stand out in such detail...

I think that a person who is trying to reach a certain goal, whether in bodybuilding or anything else, should finance it him/herself, perhaps with some help from friends or family, but certainly not by soliciting money from strangers on the internet...that's just pathetic.

I wouldn't quite say that, at least given the current economy and depending on living expenses in the person's particular area, but I suppose it depends how the fundraising is done too. In Lorenzo's case, I think he was doing it against the wish of his parents, who seemed to be discouraging him the last I heard (which was a while ago). Even in France, I would imagine it's rather hard for a kid of 15/16 years to self-finance an endeavor like that. Unfortunately, I'm in the negative income bracket myself, so I couldn't help anyway.

I think that Alexey is plenty big enough now, and would not like to see him get bigger and become an unattractive "muscle beast" ala Ruhl and Cutler. He is close to perfection, but could still "improve" by getting more ripped/cut. I would also be concerned about his physical health if he chooses to get bigger, which obviously would be with the use of steroids.

Alexey is 21 now and will be 22 in May 2010. Before last winter's contests his weight climbed to over 230 lbs, his biceps measured 21 inches and his and his upper thigh 31 inches - according to various Russian websites.

Nice to get some updated stats there. Just to compare the incredable size of the younger Lorenzo against massive Alexey. Lorenzo I know is taller at 5'7" but last I herd was his weight is 230lbs with 20 arms. Also his quads were 29" but that was at least 6 months ago. Although he doesnt have Alexeys symetry or hardness yet he really is gaining similar kind of size for such a young kid.
