Is there anything that changes bone density?

Is there a steroid that changes bone density? For example, makes bones larger, shoulders broader, clavicle deeper?

HGH amd IGF-1 are the only hope I know that can do it. Doesn't work for everyone.

Is it possible to transform an ectomorph bone structure to a mesomorph or endomorph using these?

Simply put - no. Once you are out of puberty and the bone ends have sealed, you can't make any drastic changes, and those that you can, fall under pathology (such as acromegaly). Since the bone structure is largely determined by then, basically it comes down to calcium retention (but then simple exercise increases that), and growth of the cartilagenous structures - you end up with a neanderthal look and lantern yaw, but your bones will be nearly unchanged - certainly the length.
It MAY be possible during puberty but the ethical implications of trying it, never mind doing research, are daunting. Anyone proposing such a treatment on individuals considered healthy would end up behind bars for a VERY long time, at best.

Hello. As someone who has taken all the pharmacology and therapeutics courses of medical school, I will give you the truth. Steroids are just about the worst thing you can do for bone density, and this is true of corticosteroids and anabolic steroids. Steroids WILL CAUSE osteoporosis, or a loss of bone density. That is why doctors can't prescribe them for the long-term. In fact, the risk of osteoporosis is so severe with steroid use that it is considered, along with loss of immune function, the biggest threat of use.

Things that can add bone density are the biphosphanates, such as Boniva. there are 3 main ones - actonel and boniva are the big two, and a third one doesn't add bone density and is no good for fractures, just prevention. Also, you usually have to be a woman over 55 or 60 to have them prescribed, or have 3 risk factors, such as a BMD of less than a certain metric, which is fgured out by a test your doctor will do, have a hip fracture, or have a combination of diabetes and other risk factors.
The best thing you can do for healthy bones is to take a calcium supplement every day - no more than 400mg of elemental calcium - so for example Cal-trate, the CaCarbonate/CaGluconate OTC supplements are about 20-30% elemental calcium. They come usually in like 650mg tablets - so you'd need 3 to get the 400mg of elemental.

That ectomorph, endomorph and mesomorph philosophy was developed after interviews and examinations with thousands of people from a variety of backgrounds and body images. However, the professor who developed it has revised it a number of times so that everyone was given a score out of ten for each category.

Endomorphs are considered chubby and have extra stomach and intestinal capacity than usual. Ectomorphs are skinny, their muscles dont look built up. Mesomorphs are cosidered to have a sporty background, and have extra proportional width to their shoulders (mostly) as well as all their joints with extra tendon and bone thickness, and appear well excercised.

This is all in the reality that almost everyone is born structurally the same. all this is largely aquired traits. People who excercise heavy have thicker bones - fact of life - people who eat too much, get fat. Although the skeleton does naturally readjust in size to accomodate new physicall activity, this change is only slight, and mostly just hidden under the impression of muscular size.
