Thor I thought this review was pretty good. Anyone seen it already? http://www.npr.org/2011/05/06/135836...-of-norsepower __________________ Wow, I've never seen an arm that big! Can I touch it? yahoo: storyen |

Haven't seen it yet, but I have seen the trailers, and read the interview where the actor playing Thor bragged/complained that his costume had to be redone because his muscles got too big! Wouldn't we ALL like to have that problem? "Um, sorry, I'm just so HYOOGE and MUSCULAR that I can't wear a tie to work, boss! It won't fit around my trunk-like, pillar of power that I call a neck! -- Which is rising out of my giNORMOUS boulder-shoulders, which are on top of my HYOOGE chest, and GIGANTIC PECTORALS, framed by MASSIVE GUNS, tapering down to a 12-pack waist, atop MASSIVE, BULGING, TREE TRUNK SIZED THIGHS! .....What was it you wanted again? Boss?.. Are you alright, Boss?!" |

It was mediocre. Lots of great imagery, especially if you love sco-fi book covers like I do, but the story needed work. But the scene with Chris Hemsworth shirtless is TOTALLY worth the admission price. I loved hearing the audience's reaction to him. They loved that scene. I also loved seeing him in a wet t-shirt, trying to puck up the hammer. There was also a scene where, for whatever reason, his nipples were hard underneath his shirt that was almost sexier than it would have been had he been shirtless. Body and story aside, I think this movie is a big star turn for Chris. We will be seeing more of him in big roles. Hopefully they don't involve a lot of clothing! |

Yeah, you hear a lot about stars getting "buff" for roles and then they end up with muscular, fit, but not especially impressive bodies. Chris, though~~~ |

It's cliche to say anyone looks perfect but I think Chris found a very happy space where he's very big without looking too big for the muscle shy. Comments from non-muscle worshipers are all positive towards his shirtless scene. His pecs are so gloriously big (I literally sigh when I think about them) but his waist is so lean. He just looks uber healthy, almost radiant in the movie. Maybe it's just make-up but he makes being big look like it feels good. A lot of pro BBs who are too heavy into the performance enhancers can't do that. |
