a book .. i know you jocks don't read much, but ...

this book is all about muscle growth .. but then it gets kinda freaky.

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

it's "Creature" by John Saul. i know it's not a movie or a TV show, but .. yeah. definitely something to check out if you like stories about sports & muscle experimentation.

Good Summer Reading

And it's not a bad read either - I read it a few years ago and was attracted to it because of the 'muscle growth' nature of the premise. I agree it gets kind of freaky - but I believe Saul is known for his 'horror' books!

And you might be surprised at how much we do read, MoldedClay....having met MassingUp, among others, I can assure you that there are some extraordinarily erudite fellows here who just happen to really, REALLY like muscle growth.

Who says that you can't read, just because we like muscle? Both bodybuilding and education take a significant amount of dedication. It's my smaller friends that don't generally read much.

I'm a librarian.

In other words: I *never* have time to read books!

I read it--kind of fun, with high schoolers transforming into hulking beasts. There was another cool book I read over 20 years ago, I believe titled, "The Valley of the Apes." An ape researcher gets to become one. Anyone ever read it?

I wonder if there is a compilation of books like that... I would think there would be considering how many people seem to be into transformations (animal/size/otherwise). Though I wouldn't assume that they would be too mainstream unless they were classified under horror/suspense.

I tend to read quite a bit as a matter of fact. The employees at the local Waldenbooks know me quite well and are disappointed if I don't come in once or twice a week and pick up a few books Granted, buying books pay their paycheck, but still...

Omelisokomos would probably be the best candidate to consolidate a list of such books since he seems to be pretty keen to the genre but I think he's been pretty busy on other projects

Another great book that was very inspirational and awesome to me as a new lifter was "Muscle: Confessions of an Unlikely Bodybuilder" in which a true post grad book geek transformed himself into a Venice Beach competition bodybuilder. It followed how he got bit by the muscle bug, and his progression to skinny nerd to massive muscle stud. Great pics too that chronicle his change. Highly recommend it!

"Muscle: Confessions of an Unlikely Bodybuilder" was a good book. I read it when it first came out years ago. By the way NCBodybuilder, I love your profile on BigMuscle. Woof!
