The MAGIC Pill; would you take it? If there were a "Magic" pill that could, over time, make your muscles grow and the more you worked out and ate right would grow even faster (not a steroid), would you take it? |

Surely this is what they call a "rhetorical" question?! xoxo richard |

no question... I would take it... and I would pay thousands of dollars for it too. I think everyone on this form... even those opposed to steroid use (like myself) would agree. |

Hold on to your panties! Well, hold on to you panties because I've been following the "growth" of Mystatin Blockers by the pharmacuetical company called Wyeth. They are trying to perfect the drugs so they can be used by people suffering from wasting diseases and muscular dystrophy and they are very near a finished product. This is not to say that their isn't already a supplement out there but the one Wyeth is making is geared to a different purpose. Oddly, both the high-dollar Wyeth Pharmacuetical Labs product and the one currently on the market are using the same base. It all boils down to controlling the process that regulates Myostatin by preventing (blocking) it's ability to attach itself to certain receptors. I'll try to keep my bodybuilding brothers informed. May I have two? Perhaps three?.... What?! its for my friend! |

Well if they can pull off the "Myostatin Blockers" it wouldn't be a single dose thing... you would need to stay on it as long as you wanted to keep the muscle... I doubt that it would be a gene splice that would let you build the blocker in your own body... I tnink I had heard thet there are a couple of ways to block Myostatin, one is to flood the body with an inert agent the will attach to the Myostatin respectors thereby preventing the active Myostatin from attaching to most of the receptors... the other attaches to the Myostatin itself rendering most of the Myostatin unable to bond with the receptors... To use a combination to both methods would appear to be the best protocal... I also believe I read somewhere that one of the above blocking mechinisms would tend to pervent and possably reverse fat depositions... If they can get that to work it would be an ideal obeseity drug loss fat gain muscle if they could get Myostatin blockers "on label" for weight/fat loss it would became fairly easy to obtain. I have also heard that there are some down sides to a complete absence of Myostatin that involves nerve growth and repair appearently in some ways nerve cell are a bit like fat cell and the absence of Myostatin can damage the nervous system and brain... The "Pleasure Boy" bulk-up/dumb-down drug could be real... In answer to the poll provided there aren't side effects, yes I would try it. Ender |

Since chemically fucking with your system never does a person good on the long run, count me in the <5% group that says NO and will just do it by himself. It'll give me something to be proud of too. |

And there is no way that something that'd have such dramatic effects on your body could be considered 'moderation' |

Assuming it has no negative effects and is completely natural, then I'd take it in a heartbeat myself. |
