September 11th Commeration September 11th 2001 by Mary Rose Hayfield An English Grandmother writes for America The towers are gone, the rubble cleared New York has dried her eyes, But deep within ten million hearts, A sad wind softly sighs. So many tears are still unshed So many empty chairs, So many families have no grave To ease their heart's despair. For in your hearts they are so near Just but a step away, Remembered ..... loved, and held so close Beside you every day. Yet in New York's old city streets Old anger's set aside, Each man to every man a friend Kindness on every side. May all good people round the world Send love to your dear land, May God sit on your pillows still Held safe within His hand. c Mary Rose Hayfield 2001 __________________ The stronger they are, the more muscled they are |

Thank you so much for that. For any of us NY'ers whose memories may have dulled;the tragedy of hurricane Katrina should remind us how lucky we were to have Rudy Giuliani as mayor,&how blessed we are to have such brave,dedicated&well-trained police, firemen&women,&emergency medical system workers. |

A secular Amen to that, brother. My condolences go out to all my friends who lost loved ones, both this September and that September. Peace be with you. __________________ What's wrong with wanting more? If you can fly, then soar! With all there is, why settle for Just a piece of sky? The Follies of Greg |
