"Serious Player" as sponsor for superheavyweight Is there ANYTHING a wealthy potential sponsor can do to establish himself as a "serious player" in seeking to sponsor a professional, competition, superheavyweight bodybuilder? Is there a network, a conceirge, a pimp, a point of common reference of any kind?, a casino in Vegas, a bodybuilding promoter or agent, ANYONE I can present my financial qualifications to who will take me under their well-connected wing and introduce me to the REALLY big boys who might be interested in my offer? Any and all ideas and referrals will be appreciated. <[email protected]> (888) MSL-UNIV 675-8648, extension 101 -- rings all phones |

I would think that it'd be very easy. You simply go to all the big shows, book at the hotels where all the top folks stay at and flaunt your wealth. Carry around a roll of $50s or $100s and just give it to whoever catches your eye. They gotta know that you're serious and you got plenty more money if you willing to hand out cash like that. |

But are you really serious though? You mention in this post "wealthy", but in another post, and I quote, "I don't know if I can afford it". What exactly are you looking for in a bodybuilder when you say you want to sponsor? Bodybuilding is a sport that needs more than just the occasional help with funds every now and then. A serious bodybuilder is in it for life, over the span of many years. Also, I think you are limiting yourself when you say you just want a super heavyweight bodybuilder. There are many bodybuilders who are just heavyweight or middleweight, but have fantastic physiques, and maybe with help, are willing to get to super heavyweight. I'm serious in asking this: are you looking for just a quick muscle fix? Or something long term i.e. a boyfriend/partner? A basic internet search will bring up plenty of websites where you can pay to see a bodybuilder flex for you on cam, but to meet up is usually a lot harder. Many bodybuilders are actually straight, and do not actively look for guys to sponsor in private. If they do, it might not be often enough for you, as they will be wanting to get back to their wife and "normal" life. Sponsorship to many people means having discounted prices from the local vitamin store, or have a supplement company give them tubs of protein powder, so the thought of having a sponsor help them out with everything has probably never crossed their mind. These are just my opinion and from what I've observed on the net and at the gym over the years. I just hope this helps with you to think a bit more about what you really want. I wish you luck in finding your ideal situation. I'm sure it'll make you a very happy man! BIG LUKE __________________ Watch me grow!
