Hi guys, this is my first post as I discovered this site through gmpics.
Check out my shared media on there and if you're interested I have a massive BB collection that's ALWAYS growing!

Anyway here's to it:

Of all the things in a muscular man, what physicial attributes turn you on most?

Me? Wide back, and large thighs (Large and defined quads and hamstrings) with a nice short plump bum to grab hold of!

As for personal qualities we could be here forever! (preferably good looks, sense of humour, humility, someone that knows what they want in AND out of bed! etc.)

How about you?

It's so hard to me to pic a favourite spot, but I guess if you're going to force me to choose then for me it's been delts and pecs. The wide back does a lot to force those delts out, but I'll notice a set of delts even on a weak back.

Agreed, there's a lot to be said about personal qualities that need to be there first and foremost. Being able to talk about everything and anything ranks up there with what you've already pointed out.

I guess my "tastes" have sort of evolved. first i had a big thing for biceps. then it moved on to chests and shoulders (where it largely remains...) but I also have developed a fine appreciation for wide backs. Facial features...a bit of facial hair but not a full beard (goatees and chinstraps = yummy), short hair, strong features... also, for some reason, my current crush has notably small facial features and a big head, so I wonder if that's something I unconsciously find hot or if it's just a cooincidence.

personality...well, I havn't been in any real relationships yet, sadly, but sharing interests is important, as shallow as that is...but it's true. and I don't want an effeminant guy, I want my guy to be a GUY...but not an insensitive asshole either.

I know there was a similar thread like this about "ideal partner" sort of thing...look around for it, I think it's still on the first page.

I love glasses. Anyone with glasses and a big muscle chest I need to control the urge to jump them in public.

I like beefy muscles. I am not necessarily a fan of ripped muscles except for bicep peaks.

I just love the male body. The bigger... the better

I agree with big muscles and glasses, what a hot look. I even wear mine sometimes at the office and going out sometimes...you'd be surprised what a head turner it is! Clark Kent must of known what he was doing.

Well here I am, next to my man, and I was just browsing. WHAT TURNS ME ON???? I'm probably typical, but I am a leg man. Nuf said. I mean, I have the next Superman actor BRANDON ROUTH as my wallpaper (standing superman position), and I have to occassionally look up at his face to remind me that he even has one. I so totally home in eyes glued to the man's thigh bone it's a good thing I don't wear it out by heat vision of my own. When I see man's heavy duty calf walking away in nice socks, shorts, and tennis shoes, I feel like I've never seen it before. Then my eyes venture to chest, arms and buttocks. Again it's almost like his face is optional. I'm so bad. Personality? I guess I come from the school of "beauty is as beauty does." Yes I like abs, but if the rest of him fits my criteria, I can get by. I just don't see how someone can be super muscular and have much fat to really worry about. We can work it off!!

i've actually thought of this one for a while. not too picky about the face, as long as he's HEEEUUUGE!!! i can't tolerate skinny legs and i hate flat butts and toothpick forearms are a bit anti-climatic. not picky about abs either - if he's a bodybuilder then they're more than likely adequit. now what drives me wild are thick fingers. thick fingers lead to meaty hands and meaty hands usually are at the end of massive forearms, which are a bigger turnon than huge biceps. next tree trunk thighs must have a cannon ball at each end. and for some reason huge shoes have piqued my interest since highschool. oh almost forgot a neck thicker than the head that sits on it is always better than one thats not. speaking of necks, a guy with a pyramid on top of his shoulders gets a few bonus points!

newmus, you hit on a lot points that I completely agree with too. its the little things...the details that drive me over the edge. big biceps, chest, etc are all essential but it's stuff like a heaving chest while breathing, meaty hands, and big, clomping feet that push things to the next level.

My first attraction to bodybuilders wasn't for muscle at all, but for the tiny bulging posers they wear in competition. Since my first sexual impulses at age 12, I have had a thing for crotch bulges, preferably in the thinnest, stretchiest pouches possible. The Undergear catalog was as good or better than porn for me -- it WAS porn... fueling countless jackoff sessions and responsible for numerous purchases. I was attracted to bodybuilding because of their posewear and because of the naked exhibitionism that is at the core of the sport. But from there, I gained a true appreciation of the muscular male body.

My favorite body parts are pecs, abs and quads. I love shots that focus in on the abs and quads, with the added bonus, of course, of the barely-contained meat in a barely-there posing suit. Anyone share my fetish?

Well if anyone knows DANCER56, you know I have a SUPERMAN fetish. And the most memorable package scenes on CHRISTOPHER REEVE SUPERMAN 1 where his descending from glass building with would be robber, and standing with his reflection, arms crossed, being looked at by robbers in a boat. I'm not saying I'm not into freakishly huge muscle; it's just that I'M the one who gets to have the muscles, not him. Love seeing myself and a really small, under-developed (but cute) guy standing next to each other in a mirror. Love seeing his small legs and arms under my massive legs and guns. A short, skinny guy who's aiming to please. That's what get's me off.

biglittletim, don't worry about being unfashionable... that's one of the hottest things I've heard! I think you answered someone else's question - Do big guys only like other big guys? - with a resounding NO! So you're giving hope to the little guys who love muscle on other guys but don't necessarily want to bulk up themselves. I find comparisons very hot also.

PS- don't be surprised if you are flooded with private messages after writing something like that

Thanks! I'm glad my penchant for tiny guys isn't a big no-no here. I'd really be interested in hearing from anyone at all, although you small fellas might get a little extra attention back!

I'm a short guy myself, only 5'-7" tall, but pretty hefty at 265 lbs. I play Rugby and lift/eat to get bigger/stronger. That said, I'd be PERFECTLY happy making love to a skinny little guy who's never been to the gym a day in his life. A guy half my size (130 lbs., or thereabouts) would make me melt.

wow, youre a dream cum true, I go to the gym myself, but just to keep toned. Im considered under developed by alot of these muscle sites. In BIG MUSCLE they gave me the boot! they said come back when youre done!! Another thing that turns me on, even more than a thick muscled bull neck is a husky hefty guy. Especially if he's shaved bald and clean shaven. But I'll go for a guy who's got facial and/or head hair if he's husky and hefty. And it can be a powerlifter or strongman build or just a guy who's big and husky.

It was always a fantasy of mine to get pretty big and husky. I'm 5'5" and about 219 lbs, on my way down to 200. But if I could afford the clothes, I would let myself really get up there to about 240-260, muscle and fat. Woof!

For me, of course the turn on is when you see a guy that has great full rounded huge muscle, and they are wearing casual attire.

For instance, I was in a mens clothing store and there was this guy, a walking slab of big blown muscles, and he had on this polo style shirt that accentuated the curves of his shoulders, traps, lats, draped over the tops of his pecs, and the sleeves clung to his upper biceps. Now, the thing is the shirt did not look like it was three sizes too small, but it was cut and draped over each muscle just right, and the fabric was just right as if you could see the muscles moving around under the shirt.

And this guy was also wearing a pair of slacks that emphasized the fact that he did a lot of heavy duty squatting in the gym. and slacks pleated in front to show "balance".

Everyone in the store was checking this guy out BIG TIME! .... there was no mistaking that this was a big bodybuilder and to me the idea of the biggest turn on...

That is EXACTLY the look that I love a guy in. I love seeing a built guy in well fitting khakis and a well fitting polo shirt! Even a well fitting heavy T shirt that is in good condition... good enough to be worn with a jacket, for instance. I particularly love the color combination of tan khakis and a red polo on a built guy! And I'm imagining YOU in such attire! Hubba hubba.

what turns me on the absolute most is when somebody had gone from fat to muscled or skinny to muscled. it's the transformation of a person from "normal" to "muscleman" that is the biggest turn on for me.

i LOVE "before" and "after" shots, or progress collages where you can see the person's progress from picture to picture. pictures of pro bodybuilders when they were young and then now are great. when i know somebody who's working out and i've seen their progress that's hot. imagining somebody i know with big muscles is hot. i find those celebrity morphs really hot because of this. unlike some people on other boards, i like morphed images, especially if they're well done, because they are so clearly outsized, my mind's eye kind can fill in that transformation.

beyond that, as i've written about before, i like guys whose arms or pecs, quads or calves are over developed relative to the rest of their physiques. that's totally hot to me. in this category, my favorites are those with long, lean torsos who have big pecs and oversized arms. otherwise skinny guys often build up bodies like this. if the guy is shorter than i am, that's the hottest of all. i also find buffer than average guys whose calves are bigger than their biceps really hot.

this is not to say i don't like, enjoy and lust after proportionally built muscle men, because i do. shorter muscle men are really hot to me.

given all of this, i guess a short, skinny guy, with a long, lean torso who is in the process of bulking up his chest and arms would be my ultimate.

if we all like the same things, it'd be a really boring world.

I almost forgot that..the t-shirt and jacket look...especially when wearing a jacket that shows the big shoulders, and you can tell there are no built-in shoulder pads and that it is all muscle under there.....hubba!!

Time for me to re-think the wardrobe.

I'm a lean body guy, that's what I like. Nice, lean bodies like swimmers. I like the Speedo thing, ESPECIALLY the Water Polo guys! The less hair the better, though I don't like when they shave--unless they're into Water Sports and tanned. I'm also into gymnasts. Preferably, blond hair, blue eyes do it for me, or even green. for me, the ultimate expression of male beauty has always been brad pitt as tyler durden in 'fight club'. nice lean, strong body, even if he's not hugely built. and the man is damn sexy and proud of it. i think a reviewer called him a 'walking erection' once. i just love that--a man as an utterly sexual being. funny thing is: i'm not generally into brad pitt. just in that one instance...

Big handsome heads.
Thick, jock-necks backed up by thick, prominant traps.
Big round delts on a broad, rock-solid back.
Thick, peaked biceps, and even thicker, insanely cut triceps.
Beefy, veiny, rockhard forearms.
(Is anyone else in here getting turned on?)
Wide, thick, crazy-defined striated chest.
Lean, ripped, strong mid-sections. I've seen all kinds of bellies that turn me on, from super-defined wasp waists, to thick beefy muscleguts.
Big, muscular, beefy musclebutts. Definition, mass, and shape are all key here.
Thick, outrageously muscled wheels. If the legs are a little out of proportion with the upper body, just a little mind you, just a tad freaky, in terms of size and hardness and definition, I am impressed furthar.

I'm pretty flexible on body hair, though I might lean a little toward smoothness. With hair, though, you can play around with smoothness when you're in the mood by removing it! You know, if you're willing.

A few other qualities that might turn me on:

A guy who dresses to hide his muscle, but allows a certain thing to show what he's packin': a neck, forearms, calves. Unh!! I much prefer this to the spandex wearing flaunting fellow. But that's my own hang up. In private, he can try on whatever he wants!

A guy who says, occassionally: "Hey, check me out!"
or: "Would you mind hopping on my back while I do my pushups?"
or: "Hold on, I want to see how many chinups I can do with you hanging on my back."

Hmmm...

I have a thing for big pecs. Hairy especially. I can even dig a guy who's pretty fat if he's go nice, non-saggy, pecs on him.

That said, I'm not into super huge muscle, at least not in real life. Except for pecs I don't like the super roid-freak look. Instead a guy just under that is good. Look at the all natural bodybuilders. They're what get me hot.

Older guys are hot too. I think I'm mostly attracted to guys my own age (mid 20's) but men in their 30's and 40's, even higher are hot, but muscle still factors in. Without it a guy has to go on his personality.

As for personality and types, there's some leeway there too and these things can trump muscle (as they should.)

A butch, blue collar guy is hot. Cops in uniform are hot and so are construction workers. A guy doesn't have to be a total alpha but being masculine is sexy.

But I also love a geek guy. That can really be sexy, especially since I'm a geek too. But it can't just be any kind of geek. A geek guy who doesn't slip into total geek territory by being somewhat fashionable and more outgoing than most is a total hunk.

Also, I hate to say this, but foreign accents are hot too. I was talking to a guy today from England and he was younger than me (not too young) and skinny but his accent, not to mention his manners, had me feeling a little giddy.

The total package would be a rough and tumble British cop who liked bodybuilding, rugby, video games, and Neil Gaiman.

And he'd have to have a thing for wearing suits too. Mmmm...

Oh, one more thing: I'm bi so I like girls too. The geek stuff and the foreign accents apply too. It's even stronger with the accents. But not the muscles.
