Most of the guys in the World's Strongest Men competition are big, barrel-chested linebacker types. They are obviously very powerful, but most of them carry around a lot of fat with their muscle. Here's a guy who dominated a recent show (won 9 out of 10 events) who has all the thick muscle of a powerlifter, yet it still tight enough to display every rippling muscle underneath. His name is Mariusz Pudzianowski from Poland. 6 feet tall, 291 pounds.

This guy is hot, and he has a set of great looking abs... This competition, which was used to be telecast in Singapore, features most of them as ugly fat and hairy men, with only 1 or 2 exception... Looking at these pictures, it is definitely a great improvement...!

He was at a Vitamin Shoppe (our local version of GNC but better) this past Friday, Oct 28 for a MetRx promotion. I made plans to stop in with a friend of mine who called me excited at 9:30 am to tell me Marius was working out at his gym! (Steel Gym, West 23 St; lots-o-big boys.) He's HUGE, he had way too much clothing on?his own line of sweats; matching pants and jacket over a tee?but his forearm alone must measure 18" around (had sleeves rolled up). I asked him how much he weighed, 290; was so tempted to ask him to flex his arm. He doesn't seem to speak or understand English as well as it looks like on TV which is why I didn't ask him to flex.

One of my Polish friends knows him and used to go to the same gym as him...He certainly looks great but my friend said he is very arrogant and full of himself.

The younger strongmen coming into the sport - Marunde, Orzel, Sidorychev,... seem to be a lot more lean than in previous years. Hope it's a trend that will continue.

If I was the World's Strongest Man and I looked like that I would be full of myself too.

I was in NYC over the holiday weekend, and I saw the huge banners hanging outside the Vitamin Shoppe announcing his appearance. I stood on the corner with my jaw open, 'cuz I couldn't believe how good he looked in the picture! Lots of thick muscle with chiseled abs. Pretty much an ideal muscle fantasy man. I went so far as to write his name down in my PDA so that I could remember to google him after I got home.
