Trying to test the water here

Ok, I have never written a story before like the ones found on this website, but I think I will give it a try.

For the story I would like it to be a fictionalized version of what I experienced with my brother. Of course growing up with him was not as extreme as it will be portrayed in the story but I need something cleared up first before I proceed.

Is it ok on this website to post about underage sex involving minors and performing in illicit activities?

sorry to disagree. i don't think you need to ask anyone else - even flex. writing about underage characters in sexually explicit scenes (even if there are no pictures and fictional) should not be acceptable. that's just my humble opinion.

Agreed. This has been discussed here several times. Although there are some stories here of teen boys maturing quickly into full adults the sex doesn't enter the story until they are in the adult stage. There are many of us here who believe that is about the limit to this topic! This is a great site for adults and I believe that any further transgression of the storyline would get loud and serious negative feedback. The moderator stays pretty much in the background until he needs to come in to calm us all down. This site is pretty much self policing. And this site is all fantasy fiction and should stay that way.

Then it will be strictly "non-sexual" but is it still ok to post about his body,his 'private' parts?

I think you ought to write the story the way you want to. If its inappropriate for this forum, post it at another one (like nifty/org) and link back to the forums here with a clear and frank synopsis. Or edit the piece and post the edited version here. I don't know if your story would be to my taste or not, but I'm always very keen to read about someone's first experiences (with muscular guys).

Personally I hate snuff stories, muscle theft stories, muscle boy stories, and stories that include women. But its more important that everyone have the right to express themselves however they see fit. Its an act of true civility, that you respect others enough to avoid offending them. I wish more authors here were of the same caliber.

There are legal and ethical issues.

The legal issue is that child pornography is pretty much a guarantee of shutdown, arrest, confiscation, legal persecution, etc.

However, textual and artistic creations that do not involve actual children has been found, in courts, to be just pornography, not 'child pornograpy', as no actual child is involved and therefore no actual child is injured.

Ethically, it's a question of whether you feel it's appropriate to introduce adult sexuality to the context of children. Children ARE sexual, in a transient and unformed way, and puberty happens around the age of 12, which means that while still not-quite-mature emotionally, we're hit by even more turbulence in the hormone surges that accompany that process. I've seen stories that handle this well and some that really do not.

Many adults enjoy bondage. Many adults enjoy having varieties of 'torture' applied in sexual and non-sexual contexts. Children, and even adolescents, seldom if ever have the psychological stability and maturity to handle this kind of thing, and that's also true of many adults. Even writing that kind of story is, in my personal opinion, harmful to the writer and can be to the readers.

The question is this: Does the erotica benefit or harm the writer and the readers? It can harm if it encourages formation of sexual arousal triggers that inhibit enjoyment of sex where a particular 'kink' is absent, or where it causes the formation of triggers that require the 'kink' to really enjoy sexual activity.

This latter is a bad thing, and harmful, because it can take the erotic fantasy out of the fantasy world and bring it into the real world. Some people, not all by any means, actually go so far as to try to make them real, involving real people.

The kinds of stories found in this forum are not really that likely to be made 'real' but I can easily envision someone giving anabolic drugs, or testosterone, to young adolescent males, with the idea of making a 'real' version of something like the stories we've seen here. (Not that I expect any of the people here to be so stupid, as the forum members here are generally intelligent and caring people.)

This isn't a free-speech issue. It's an 'appropriate speech' issue, and a 'responsible speech' issue; it's true that we should not ban anything that isn't illegal or on-topic, but that we need to consider the context of what we write.

As a fellow writer, I've written a couple of stories involving sex with mionr aged characters, although their bodies have developed into fantastic muscular machines, but I became worried with the minor aged characters, that's why I've stopped writing one of my favorite stories (Family Ties), but people always beg me to come back with another chapter, and I must conclude that if you feel comfortable wiriting about it and , most of all, you're comfortable about sharing your personal fantasies with the rest of us, there's no reason for not doing it - You've already explained the reasons of your worries, many people gave their opinions and now it's really up to you.

Anyway, I'm alnmost sure this is gonna be a great story, given the sceanrio you already established, well at least i like the promise, so I'll support you in every decision you take.

I have read all the other responses and appreciate them. They are all thoughtful, well written and encourage one to think more about the issue. For one thing, I am still opposed to any sexual descriptions that involve underage individuals. I am also very concerned that the far right - which is certainly in a position of power these days (thanks to the Bush Administration), is rabidly looking for excuses to attack the gay community. Don't get me wrong - I won't give up and roll over. I will fight back with every legal means I possess. But even though the courts have ruled that fictional writings of children involved in sexual activity are legal and not porn - it's still not something I agree to in this forum.

I know I can ignore it and not read it if it offends me. That's no problem and I will do so without complaint (should you decide to write). There are many other stories which I have simply closed because they did not interest me and I did not write a complaint. It's a matter of personal tastes. I am very involved in the fight over the 2257 issues. I realize they do not effect this site as there are no pictures, but I would hate to see this site get involved in any legal proceedings and being shut down. Perhaps I am too conservative thinking. And I truly appreciate the freedom of speech issues and also the one writer's distinction with "appropriate speech". Very well done.

Keep in mind this is just my opinion. Everyone has to make their own decision. Trust me - whatever you decide to do I will respect (as long as it is not illegal). You are an intelligent individual and can make up your own mind. If I don't like it, I can just not read it. If too many others don't like it, it can always be removed. Good luck with your decision and your writings.

I really appreciate your thoughtful consideration in testing the waters first. Even though you have the right to post your story in any case. It makes me want to read whatever you post .

The discussion is a mute point IMO. The author should simply write the story as his imagination dictates, and post it on a consenting site, like a previous poster suggested. Sanitised stories are usually found lacking.

Write the story you want... but what is the point of the story???

If the only intent is to produce sexual tintilation, then I think you should avoid involving little kids and in perticular mixing little kids with adults in sexual acts...

If you're trying to tell a deeper story and the story "needs" it then most anything goes. Just don't get lured about it... like death sex is part of life but there is a limit to what is in "good taste."

Another point is "Age Appropiate" behavour... pubicent boys do explore their changing bodies and sometimes engage in sex play alone or with peers...

I'm looking at a story idea that starts with a kid and his teddy bear... I don't know if I will post it here because I doubt there will be any sex in it and the more vocal people on the board demand sex...

Ender - post the story. Sex is not a prerequisite for a story on this site. As I said about my own tastes - if I don't care for the story I can close it and go on to others. So post your story. Please. If the "more demanding" members don't care for it - then let them go on to other stories.
